If you run into untamables, please post here/let me know; trying to get those info in the first post so others don't go hunting the same beasts and having the same problem.

There's a rare one out in Tanaris too, he chills out next to a broken-down cart near some bones.

For the love of god, more stable slots PLEASE. >_<
I can't part with any of the ones I have now, but I want so many of the new ones already. >_<
And can anyone confirm if the Basilisk petrify can be cast on allies? Making a tank/healer invulnerable for 3 seconds could be a nice mechanic.

Nope, the basilisk ability can only be cast on unfriendly targets.

Dang.
That would have been a really neat mechanic to give hunters.

Good news, bad news...
I just checked the water striders in the starting zone, and they are marked as tameable, but.. when I try to tame, it says not tameable.. so not sure what's up there. (No dice yet on the cranes and tigers).

They're exotic. You won't be able to tame them in the starting zone. :/

Which... confuses me.
If you Beast Lore something that is Exotic as MM/SV/NoSpec, it says untameable.
Was that changed in Mists, and it just hasn't been reported? O_o

Think so, since I was able to beast lore fen striders properly while still in marks spec. (Oops.)

Every time I beast lored an exotic, even in my MM spec, it said to me "tameable (exotic)".

Strange. I just tried on live, and it still tells me exotics are not tameable. O_o
