Looks like my warrior is in the best shape gearwise, since the other two got to do some ToC. She's got 4p 232, which would make farming downgrades (and upgrades in other slots) easier.

This is definitely preferable for me, since I can actually do stuff for an alt on my main server.

I don't have any Alliance characters near 80, but if you do a Horde one I can come on my hunter.

You should try to get the BiS weapons from 10 ToC-Normal as they will make the biggest difference, especially if you're a hunter or the tank. It can be 3 manned with a tank healer and DPS.

If you try to run Ulduar 25, most of the BiS gear will be from 25man, advertise that it's a drake run and the group usually fills up quick. With the exception of Kolo, General, Razor and Yogg, every fight is essentially just zerg them down. Razor's achievement will probably take 30+ mins so do it last.

That's the toon I'll be using. I'm going to have to start doing some uld10 runs to get her the proper ilvl gear though.

I'll be definately looking for those random Uld pugs. Usually its free loot too if you can explain to the 85s on what you're doing, most people will generally pass to those "twinks" ~ at least in BT/Sunwell raids etc I've seen it that way for the level 70s. Thats a great idea to advertise it as a Drake run, a way to get more people in.
As far as BIS weapons go, if TOC 10 man isn't viable, theres ICC 5 man heroic's

I think we can pool from a few different servers to fill up nicely for a Uld 25 run or a Uld 10 run. I love how you can cross realm raids now.

Yeah Veph if you're interested with any alliance toon you'd be welcome. Spirit ~ i think there would be something at elitist jerks that outlays a good rotation for basically every class. I've had to use guides to get caught up on classes I have come back to after a long period of inactivity.


Because of time differences and RL commitments, I would like to try and do this multiple times (to help others get it as well). I plan on keeping my mage at 80 to help with future runs as well (i dislike how some herald runs after completion people simply just level those characters to 85 and then cannot help anyone who was just a tad late in getting their character prep'd)

Be wary of elitist jerks, they aren't as up to date/on top of things lately as they have been.

And perhaps if we all could agree on running this thing a few times and not instantly leveling our characters right after completing this achieve for the first time, to allow us to help anyone else later on who might want to get it.

Oh yeah, I was staring at gems and such and realized that I'm not as out of it as I thought when it comes to knowing what to do! Well, on that front, anyway. Gem cuts from Wrath are still gem cuts from Wrath; I figured (as a tank) I'd be stacking mastery, but nope - it's still stam.

I should be in good shape for hitting Wrath heroics; I did farm 4p t9 for her prior to Cata. Unfortunately, that means I need to downgrade for achie purposes. But I do have excellent farming gear. There's plenty of good stuff in H ToC 5 and the ICC 5s...and I do believe I still need the Black Heart from ToC 5 normal.

Also, I am deeply amused that the entire raid is currently draenei women.

I put out a open invite on openraid.us as well. I have some interest from a few on there too, hopefully get the ball rolling a bit sooner than I even though of

Well, I actually have 2 possible chars. I for sure have my DK, Evin, Nordrassil, Male Human, 74 or 75 right now, but I haven't played him much. Blood or UH (I can switch to Frost even if necessary, I love all 3), and I can level him and start gearing, it shouldn't take TOO long.

I could also possibly ask my brother if I'd be able to use his account, as he has a level 80 rogue (i hope it's still 80) from the Scroll of Resurrection. He likely won't be willing to do the raid, but I could convince him to let me use it. I'd just have to gear and learn the class a touch is all.

realid to add someone is the full email addy of your battlenet account, but it'll show up as your full name to other real id friends when you log on.

I like using Battletag just because it keeps me more into Azeroth with the more "gamer like" names. As opposed to having a discussion with Steven Johnson and David Theodore Smith and William Seymour Butts III

I was thinking of bringing my frost DK, but I have a question about gear. As it's been a dog's age since I've thought of lvl 80 wotlk gear as something other than a mog source, I'm a little unsure of the best sources for some of this stuff - I can get a decent amount of ilvl 219 stuff from icc5 man normals, and I think there are 1-2 1h'ers at ilvl 232 although iirc they have rogue / enh sham stats (which isn't the end of the world, but still).

Is there a better source for this besides buying it all with JPs?
