Sigh I have the flu so I'm gonna blame it on the medicine, but...do those trees scare the crap outta anyone else?

I had to do a double take on that pic.. I didn't think it was WoW at first.

The water looks great, and I like the misty atmosphere, but... I couldn't help but think how out of place my characters would look in a zone such as this. Doesn't really look like WoW at all, does it?

I think it still holds some WoW qualities, just with the graphical settings on processor killer.

Hmm..now that you mention it the big tree in the back ground and the swirling mist do look quiet ominous.
Maybe it'll have to do with the cultist and demons that are still wondering around the present Pre-Cata area. Which also makes me wonder what's going to happen to the Dark Portal during the shake up. Maybe something, like the demons and cultist try to take it over, or maybe nothing.

Woot, blasted lands is reverting back to swamp! thats friggen awesome sauce

Brill is looking good, I guess all the Forsaken towns are getting a new look, I can't wait to see Deathknell in that case

Swamp of Sorrows doesn't seem like it will be too much different, guess it just get a polish

I can't wait to explore the world all over again! And with the graphical updates there, imagine Outland... Nagrand and Zangamarsh will all that beautiful water...,

I agree that it'll be fun exploring all the zones over again, but... are they doing a graphical overhaul on all the water in the game, or just old world?

they'd have to be doing it on both old world, outland and northrend. it would look terrible otherwise,

Programming-wise, the water we have now is basically land that we can swim in. The normal "ground" textures are just replaced with a moving texture to emulate waves. The way they're making water, I don't think they'll have the option of keeping the old water.

But just think of the possibilities... Rocky coasts could have high waves, while sandy beaches have calmer waters, and lakes... Mind-boggling, really.

I am absolutely blown away by that screenshot. It's gorgeous! Not only can't I fathom the fact that it's Blasted Lands, but the water is just drool-inducing.
