Well not to be a big downer, but this kinda sucks. Just about every mount I was psyched to be 'account wide' is on that list and thus, won't be applicable. Really kinda kills the joy of it for me.

I do understand why though for most of them. And I didn't honestly expect to ride Chargers on my Hunter, but somehow seeing this list is cementing my tears lol. COULDN'T WE AT LEAST GET THE ARGENT CHARGER, BLIZZARD? I MEAN I WORKED MY BOOTY OFF FOR ALL THOSE FACTIONS, JUST LET ME HAVE THE ARGENT ONE D:

Though, I do want to know whats going on with faction mounts then. Cause I won't lie, Orcs got the best mounts ever. I would level a gaggle of Orcs just to have wolves on my main.


And yes, I know Orcs don't group in gaggles. I just like saying Gaggle of Orcs. :p

Worst part for me is the ice mammoth coz I love the color and I used it on my lowbie and it's fun and also the sandstone coz frankly I was hoping that I got to use it on all my chars as it was a gift from a friend and I hardly think she will buy me another one heh.
But it's still early maybe things will change but they probably won't >.>
However the panthers not been boa is gonna be annoying also coz I usually never truly have one main I always have a few that I like to play perhaps the best place to learn mounts is on my worgen Druid or Orc hunter coz those are the 2 chars I use the most.
But there gonna be 90 having a panther at like 70 would be far better since I have a lot of twinks in that level.

So...what IS the point of having account wide mounts if the prized mounts that people want to use arent account wide? There are quite a few mounts on that list that take alot of time/effort to get and I really think that the person behind the computer should have the right to use that mount on whichever toon they are playing and not be limited by what they chose to play...I thought that was one of the points behind the account wide mounts was so that the PERSON behind the screen could enjoy thier hard earned mounts without the limitations of character...

I understand things like not being able to use horde/alliance mounts on opposite faction toons, I understand Class specific mounts, as well as proff specific mounts...but the other ones, the ones that people worked hard to get or saved up the large sum of gold for...those more then anything should be account wide!

Just my opinion...

I was pondering....is this in part a block on lowbie characters so they can't gain access to the mount vendors?

Also this blizz had me cheering for so many things in mop until I read the front page of mmo champ this morning and saw just how many mounts aren't account wide and I see this persons point for a lot of them but first blizz gives us a lot of nice things and then ruins the whole mood with this, let's hope they change it before the release. Here's to hoping!

Every mount that costs a lot I can understand, since Blizz wants gold going back into the economy. Rich people can just send gold to their alts to buy the mounts when they're able, and get what they need to craft another Eng/JC mount and send it to their alts.

On the big plus side, those people who have the Black Qiraji Battle Tank can enjoy it on all of their toons. I feel so cheated that I never got the chance at that one, the Aquamarine one hates me >_<

Half of that list grinds my gears...like the Sandstone drake? REALLY?! >/

Gah... I'm going to try and not get my hopes up... but I really do hope what you said here has some real merit, and it's just Blizzard playing around with ideas or something.

I understand class- and profession-specific mounts not being account-bound, but the gold sinks? Man, I'm pretty pissed.

My friend recently sent me the mats to make a Vial of the Sands for my birthday, which was awesome of him. Stupid me, I should have sat on it a bit longer instead of rushing to make it in time to transfer it with my priest to play with. Now it's learned on a character who although I am playing frequently lately, is NOT my main or my old main who collects mounts. I figured what the hell, it will become account-wide and all end up in the same place anyways, so I might as well have some fun with it right now. Apparently NOT.

I estimate that the new JC mount (the highest-end one that combines them all) will cost somewhere around 100-200k - there is no way I'll be buying that multiple times. When I do, I'm going to feel obligated to put it on my rarely-played old main, because she collects all of my mounts. The traveller's mammoths/yaks? Yeah, I'm not buying more than one of those, either. I'm less upset about the choppers since they're the cheapest, but still irritated.

I get that it's a gold sink, but I think it would encourage MORE people to buy the big items if they're account-wide. I know I definitely would, and that was my plan. I thought the whole point was to make you "not feel obligated to stick to one character forever"? Because this is the exact opposite of that.

It also makes no sense that the new Cloud Serpents aren't account-wide ... shouldn't they be? The Crimson one is from the Glory of the Pandaria Hero achievements... all of the other Glory mounts are account-bound, though??

Just, ugh. UGH ugh ugh.

Re: the old gold sinks....if the new yak mount is 60k, there's going to be a LOT of gold floating around in Pandaria. All the old prices are going to seem really small by comparison.

Some consolation, I hope.

I'm a little irritated now that they never updated the food/water on the tundra vendors. It's outdated and even alts can't use it? 60k is a lot for vendors that will be outdated in a few patches.

These are early incarnations though. They could well update and fix a lot of things before release.

I dpnt see Headless Horseman's mount or the Netherrays on this I am a very happy camper!

I noticed this too...I hope you can at least be able to get all 5 mounts from the dailies (or is it 3?) since they're not boa :<

The thing is tho, is you pick one color and raise it. What I want to know is if you can do it multiple times, or are you stuck with one color? Them not being boa hopefully means you can still get all the colors, but this hasn't been confirmed yet.

Hmm.. blizz really likes the whole idea of gold sink, but not alot of people that I know spend a heck of a ton on their alts. But really the subdued seahorse to? geez.. everything costs so much already in Mop... like alot alot. The black market is going to be a huge gold sink.. just because there are some people who have millions and millions those who dont have alot of gold are left out in the dust.. sigh. High pop servers are going to have issues with the black merket prices already, but now they just dont want your alt to have expensive things either
