I really like the idea of a "tech'ed" up companion, but still very much a beast.
The 1st one that came to mind for me was these guys.

These are still clearly beasts, yet the armor and blue markings kinda of give them a enhanced/tech look to them.
There are Crag Boars and Small Crag Boars in Dun Morogh with this skin,

so it would not be like they would be a far stretch imagine they could be taken and trained/enhanced from the local area.
More of a a sensible/explainable choice, but not as fun as a rocket chicken

Oh, I do like the armored boars idea. While it's true that Orcs also have a boar starter pet, I don't see any real need to make them species-specific.

If boars weren't already a racial pet, this one would be perfect. Give it a pair of glowing Terminator eyes and it'd look awesome

The... Boarinator?

You can't tame critters.

In other news: This needs to be a Core Hound/Hydra.

I wish Gnomes would be hunters. I've made a couple threads here about that in the past and there are a lot of threads on the official pages that make arguments to why they should be as well.
eg:
Every race can be a hunter EXCEPT Gnomes
Gnomes have the least amount of classes to choose from
Gnomes are the least represented race in the game
Alliance has one less Race/Class combo than Horde
Why Gnomes should be Paladins:
Gnomes have the least amount of classes to choose from
Gnomes are the least represented race in the game
Alliance has one less Race/Class combo than Horde
Horde Have 4 Shaman classes, 2 Paladin classes
Alliance have 3 Paladin classes, 2 Shaman classes (add one more paladin class to balance it)
Gnomes can be priests and warriors, so why not the Priest/Warrior Hybrid Paladin?
It sucks for me since Gnomes are my all-time favorite race, but the 4 classes I play regularly are Hunter, Druid, Shaman, and Paladin (all non-gnomeable

)

I'd think that foxes would make the perfect hunter pet for Gnomes to start with...but thats because I grew up watching "david the Gnome"

Desghidorah has;
>Three heads
>Four legs
>One tail, not split like the Chimaera's tail.
>Reptilian, unlike the Chimaera's mammalian appearance.
>Desghidorah is a demonic-like entity, he is uncontrollable and destroys things with his own free will. While the destroying things isn't very core hound-ish, the demonic part is. (Green Core Hounds are somewhat if not completely demonic)
Many characteristics are shared with the Core Hound Chromaggus, a Dragon Core Hound.
While the Chimaera's have;
>Two heads
>Two legs
>A split tail, or double-tailed
>Mammalian appearance
If anything, Desghidorah should be a Core Hound.

Not a seamless fit I'll grant you, but things like an extra head are more incidental (>>) and covered under typical species diversity - e.g. chromaggus is a core hound even though he's scaly not furry / made of magma. Also if you're going to disqualify the chimera due to des having 4 legs instead of 2, then by the same logic you have also ruled out hydras (and similarly a requirement of 3 heads would rule out core hounds). Etc.
Whereas the wings are definitely not-incidental (>)
Chimera have
> Wings
>> Head models similar to the goat headed chimera
Hydras have
> No wings
Core hounds have
> No wings
>> 2 heads
>> Stubby tail
By virtue of movement type alone, that rules out hydra and core hounds

It's clearly a flying hydra. A flydra.
Anyway, is it just me or are japanese movie monsters invading every second thread?
