I love that black and orange devilsaur and black core hound!

I was browsing my laptop files and found some more colour edits that I think I've posted elsewhere before but I thought they'd also fit this thread just fine, so here ya go:



This one is similar to the one I already posted on the first page, but I think the lighter, less saturated belly makes the recolour more interesting! Then there were some Terrorpene recolours. As the effects don't show up properly in WMV (at least for now) these edits have been made to a screenshot found on wowhead.

i adoooore the black n white devilsaur and terrorpene looks like he was the result of some pretty funky spells there! Now we got fire, ice, arcane, and fel! (fel is my favorite, id lkill for that on a warlock )

I would simply not be able to choose between those turtles. One moment I want the blue, then no! the purple, then wait, no! the green. They are GORGEOUS.

I already know which of them would go on which hunter. *sighs wistfully*

I was inspired by another thread about white raptors to make some "wild" riding raptor colours for the regular model:





The red one is somewhat similar to the tameable red skin we already have, but the shade of red is slightly different as well as the adornments.

Just for clarity's sake: The ones above in this post are the official riding raptor skins but with the harness and saddle texture removed! The only one I needed to get a bit more creative with was the red riding raptor skin since it has the facial armour texture implemented on it.

Here's some recolours that I did just for the heck of it.


This is "half and half" recolour and based on one of the riding raptor skins. I took the liberty of colouring some bits differently than on the official skin, but kept most of the scale colour untouched. (Except for filling in the harness spots and such to remove them. )





It has to glow!

I laughed out loud at that picture series! Brilliant Veph. That's exactly how I feel sometimes when looking through some of the recolours Wain posts. *sneak into thread, nick ALL the colours and tip-toe out of the thread*

On another note, meddling with all these skins sheds a little light for me into the whole skin/texture business. Sometimes a skin can look nicer when you're colouring it in but end up looking dull or uninteresting once you actually see everything in place on the model. Other times it goes the other way around.

The black with orange, and the one Veph stole are probably my two favourites. Raptors are really fun to make new colours for... pretty much any combo goes and they look so good

Wow, this glowy orange raptor looks really awesome. Even though it's not a color I'd usually be drawn to, I can't help but love it!
