The "new and improved" BM that focuses on exotics rather than BW only came out in WotLK.

Think of it as a shifted focus.

Fair point. I guess I just feel that, whatever people may dislike about 3.0 (and there are reasons to, I'm not denyin' it!), imo at least BM "came into its own" in 3.0 vis a vis tame exotics.

I just don't think it's a good argument that's all It's silly. That's just my opinion on the matter that's all.

Well it is a silly argument, if the person is trying to say that BM has been about exotics since Vanilla (actually if someone says that, it's not just silly but untrue).

*nod* I'm not arguing in favor of it, just explaining the reasoning. At least the logical reasoning. You're right that it's silly to discuss it in such a way that vanilla and BC are included....trees were very different then.

Oh I know you where not. I've just seen some people on this site act like BM has always been about exotics Always made me headdesk.

As I seem to recall, BM in Vanilla was about leveling and nothing else, or "LOL, spec Marks, noob," if you were 60 already.

Exotics became Beast Mastery's trademark in Wrath, and I think they need to remain that way.

^ Listen to the man speak! BM, and even Surv to an extent, were 'pariah specs' back in Vanilla, and in BC BM was the 'one macro takes care of everything and does best deeps (and if you didn't have the macro, shot clipping killed your dps)' spec.

Wrath shifted the focus in a good way, even if it took them a while to bring performance up to par after they did so. I'd like the focus kept there.

I don't want bm to be exotic-sentric, but pet skill-sentric. but that's just my 2 cents.

I want my bm pets to be not just has higher dps, with shorter cds, but to be distinguished by extra skills as well.
