I haven't continued to sit near him, I moved a bit further south. But I can't really see as many points from here and I want my spot back.

Do you ever look through your mounts, wondering which ones to get next, when you realise something totally obvious was missing? Yeah... xD

Just a small update so I can keep track of things:

Me and my boyfriend started doing Vortex Pinnacle runs today on normal for the mount off Altairus. I hope this doesn't take 200+ runs... We're aiming for 4 runs a day.

Fiery Warhorse: So many runs I can't even remember.
Twilight Drake: ... A lot of runs. xD
Raven Lord: 59 runs.
Blue Proto-Drake: 30 runs.
Drake of the North Wind: 4 runs.

And I'm going away for the weekend so I'll try and chip in a Raven Lord run before I go and then nothing till Sunday/Monday. <:

Of course! I actually remembered about your terrible luck with him while I was sat there draining his health, and I felt a little bad about getting so lucky with it. ): So here...





I have to say while I'm here though (to prevent a double post later) that this awesome luck has really put a bit of my inspiration back into WoW. I didn't believe I was going to get Aeonaxx before MoP came out and I really want to try and get as many of the mounts that I'm missing/avoiding as soon as possible before MoP comes out and maybe even get the 100 mounts achievement. In MoP, there's so many mounts to be had that I want to spend my time getting those, not mounts from previous expansions. Obviously I won't be able to get all of the mounts before MoP! But I want to try my hardest! And I was starting to get a little fed up, what with doing so many runs for the Raven Lord and Blue Proto-Drake and never seeing a thing and losing the mount roll on the Twilight Drake 10 weeks in a row. But now, I feel really inspired to continue. I want to get the Sha'tari Skyguard reputation now. And Netherwing. And I might even see what I can do at the Argent Tournament. So... thanks Aeonaxx! <3

Also, thanks for the early birthday present Blizz! ^^ (My birthday's on the 18th and Blizzard gave me something awesome.)

Grats on the Aeonaxx! Wow, that really was some unbelievable luck! I know exactly how you feel That's why... I camped him twice. I wanted to fly around and just fly and fly on the dragon and enjoy it *grins* Looks like we both found him in the same place on FW! Maybe it's his favourite secret spot to show up... I'm glad you got him though, and camping time is over. Wheee!

Oh I did take quite a bit of time on him, it was amazing! I wanted my boyfriend to come over and see but he took so long that I ended up getting worried about a disconnect or something. I think I got Aeonaxx to 20% health or so before I stopped targetting him and just flew around, killing the whelps whenever they spawned. Oh it felt amazing. You really, really wanna get the mount but at the same time I realised this is going to be a once in a lifetime chance and, well... I WAS ON AEONAXX!

Oh I'd love to camp him again, heck, it took me ages to leave Deepholm after that! At least an hour. I might go back and sit around sometimes if I ever feel like it and if I ever chance upon Aeonaxx again I might tell my boyfriend he's there. I don't think he's too bothered about these rare spawn mounts but I know he'd appreciate it. (:

Have more pretty screenshots! Obviously, after that kind of luck, I didn't wanna let it fade yet and ran to Storm Peaks to see if I could find Time Lost. Sadly, I didn't. xD

Congratulations! I'd love to find Aeonaxx just to experience the fight, but of course the mount is amazing too. I bet it's a relief not having to camp for him anymore though. ^^ Enjoy your new mount!

Can anyone give me some advice on camping Poseidus? I heard that Friday and Saturday are good days to camp, maybe Sunday, but otherwise it's a waste of time. And I think it also depends on what realm you're on since EU maintenance, which resets the timer, is on a Wednesday and I believe US has it on a Tuesday? I've heard of a lot of spawns happening on Saturday morning. And, funnily enough, NotSoRare doesn't exactly have that much information on Poseidus. Only that he spawns every 72+ hours. Doesn't give you any idea of how/when to camp. :/

Well the reason you hear friday is because that's the 72 hour mark for the US, so for you in the EU saturday onwards would be good as yours is done on wednesday.

Mmhm I assumed Saturday would be a good day. I've found nothing at all this morning and the /who list showed no one in the zone at all besides me. (No idea about Alliance side.)

Sunday morning for us EU people is a good time, though you can start on saturday. I used to just go for a luck on sundays when I got up, and got lucky twice but also, the world rares seeed to be spawning in the early mornings. When I was in the States for 6 months, my playtime was shifted to -7 hours so I played basicall all through the night till 9am on the EU servers, and we used to go for the world rares and i saw quite a lot spawn, so sunday morning seemed good for me.
