So I suppose the next new rare will be a hozen drunk on chocolate banana liquor?
That would be awesome

That would be pretty awesome.

Can he be a hunter with a pet crab? Because WoW can never have enough crabs!

A drunk Hozen with crabs.. that wouldn't be a rare. That'd describe most of them.

I vote that they make a Minke Whale Model and slap it on some Whales near The Anglers and Mogu places near the ocean. There will be two mobs, the Pandaren Whale and The Great Mysticeti, Sinker of Ships. He's going to be a nice pretty piebald whale, with some white blotches. When he spawns, he terrorizes the Zandalari area by increasing the height of the tide to wear it floods up to the Zuchin (Zunchin?) Village. Basically, he's a supernatural force of nature.
So, what's gonna be so special? Any references? Well, I'll tell you.
1. Well, with the implementation with a rare Mogu dropping Pugs and that the item that spawns said Pugs saying that they eat puppies, it's kinda hinting that the cultural foods are like China/Korea (Keep in mind, I do not believe that everybody in said countries eat dogs and cats and all that. It depends on the person and their definition of a pet/food), so it's safe to say that Whale is a food source as well.
2. The Angler's have weapons that can hunt whales such as harpoons AND Tuskarr, who hunt whales. Pretty self-explanatory.
3. The Minke Whale is a prime target for whaling, and thus would be good for a whaling situation in game. (A Whale attacking the Whalers, Mogu and The Anglers, for attacking the Whales friends/family). The Minke Whale also happens to be my favorite whale species.
Alright, let's talk about drops (I'd feel bad for killing him, so why not instead help in getting rid of some Whalers by hitching a ride like Aeonaxx and going full-blown vehicle mode?) and the ability to tame him (Her?).
He can drop...
Pandaren Calf
Level 90
Use: Teaches you how to summon this companion.
The Great Tidal Wave
Requires Level 90
Use: Teaches you how to summon this mount. You can now ride the Great Tidal Wave that carried The Great Mysticeti on land to defeat the Whalers killing his kind. This is a very fast mount in water, but much slower on land.
Or...
The Great Mysticeti
Requires Level 90
Use: Teaches you how to summon this mount. You can now ride the Great Mysticeti himself, carried by his Great Tidal Wave. This is a very fast mount in water, but much slower on land.
As a pet, he obviously needs to have some sort of way to following you on land. So... why not be carried on his Tidal Wave (The other whales can be carried the same way)? His family can be the Whale Family and his ability can be associated with water and you can tame him after you help him.

Wait...what? No. Just...no. Fishies and whales stay in the water, thank you. *hairy eyeball in the direction of Vashj'ir and the Whale Shark*
Mounts are far-fetched but hey, we have some pretty far-fetched mounts already. But no pet.

THIS. Oh my god, so much this. Really. I'm 99% sure this is going to be a rare spawn. And if it isn't, I'll cry, because they can't make a skin like *that* and not make it a unique pet!

Crotalus Horridus wrote:I guess nobody is gonna ask what the named Cervus Elaphus, the Eater of Birds references too... oh well. I'll just explain it anyways.
Reference #1: His skin, which would be the Horde Stag Travel Form Skin, is that because of the NPC's bird eating ways. I, in the thread that showed some mount updates and the new Travel Form Stag models, explained that the tusk of the Horde Travel Form, if it was a species in World of Warcraft, would use them to kill their prey.
Reference #2: Cervus Elaphus is the scientific name of the Red Deer.
Reference #3: Red Deer in Scotland have on record eaten the chicks of Shearwaters because of a deficiency of a certain vitamin in their natural food. Most of the deer population, if not all, eats the Shearwater Chicks at night time because the Shearwater Parents are out at sea looking for food.
EDIT: Not trying to derail the thread, just want people to know!
I thought I saw you mention something like this before, so that's why I didn't ask. You seem to derail threads a lot with explanations of various voracious creatures you want.
-back to the subject-
I still want my rare goat! A black spotted one. c:

If I thought sending the designers presents would make more things tameable I'd have set up a Paypal button!
I wonder if they prefer chocolate or liquor. Maybe not liquor or they may not get anything done

Chocolate liquor
*was totally not paying much attention to the hilarity in this thread*
I have some high quality liquor chocolates. If I send those in to the wonderful designer of Mushan, do you think that'd convince them to let me tame one?

Surely liquor chocolates would convince them!
Or yaks... I guess...
(don't get me wrong, I love yaks, but... Mushan! They're so precious! :O)
On topic: A rare Mushan would be cool!
Oh wait... galleon.
Um... Rare.... Stuff.........
I give up.
I totally want chocolate now. :<
Edit after lightbulb: A rare that gives me chocolate after taming! Yes!
I need sleep.

I agree with the rhino rare. Something like "Displaced Sholazar Rhino". Perhaps he could've stumbled into he way gate in sholazar basin and ended up in Pandaria! Lol.

They need a non-wooly version, so, not sure we'll get one this go around.

I'd totally squee over a non-whooly rhino. I mean, I wouldn't replace my rhinos because I love them to bits, but I love rhinos anyway and it'd be more variety and just awesome in general! XD
And I'd totally tame it on some hunter, hehe.

I'm still a little sad they never used this cool desert mammoth skin anywhere.
