The spirit Yak is amazing but I'd still rather have a regular one. I'm not giving up hope yet!!!

Quite frankly, as a Spirit Beast collector, (currently owner to all the spirit beasts) I have to say, i've never seen a "Companion Spirit Beast" (IE Porcupine Spirit Beast), I would be HIGHLY disappointed if Blizzard decided to make a "Companion Spirit Beast". Quite honestly, the idea of Spirit Beasts was to make the Predator even more vicious and deadly than before. (I.E Loque'nahak or Gondria) those both being from the Cat family, (if you want to get technical Loque'nahak is a leopard and Gondria is a Sabertooth Cat). But the Spirit Beast has to make sense, Ghostcrawler being a Spirit Beast I kind of let go because Crabs are Middle Class Predators in the sea. But Porcupines? No. I would not even bother even looking at that Spirit Beast. I am sorry but I cannot stand the thought of a Companion Spirit Beast.

I don't see spirit beasts as a way to make something more vicious and scary. o_O

It seems more like its an ascended animal, sort of a spirit animal in the sense that natives view albino creatures holding special importance. A sort of, holiness/specialness per-se.

I'd personally be happy with an SB porky! I can't click with a lot of the SB's we have already. The only two I really like are Skoll and Magria, I do like Ankha as well but the rest...meh.

We are still getting closer to no new spirit beasts..

Rare beasts havent been implemented yet either. Patience is necessary and required. I'd hate to wonder what WoW would look like if Blizz rushed everything they ever made through the gates to live.

I know it's off topic, but I'd trade 3 new spirit beasts for a new devilsaur or rhino skin.

As per the topic though, if we had no SBs? No skin off my nose.

I wouldn't mind if we didn't have spirit beasts. I'm not motivated by rare-collecting, and I prefer more normal-looking beasts.

We have companion owls, and look at Ban'Thalos...

But otherwise I agree with you.

I'm up for more variety for all families (leaves more room for a few to be unique! although all the spirit beasts are atm), so yeah, I'd be disappointed if there were no more spirit beasts.

We also have a companion version of everything. Cat, owl, crab, bear, wolf, there's a baby or pet form for all of them. But so far, all of our spirit beasts have been upper-to-mid level predators. Owls are BAMF's, swooping down all silent to grab prey and then 'poof'--like a feathered ninja!

For me a spiritbeast is, well, a 'spirit' of said beast, in general - it's very nature and essence. I really like that Arcturis for example is like frost incarnated, while GC has a kinda wattery look, Banny is airy, Skoll is a fang of lighning and Gondria a prowling shadow. I'd love to see a SB of every familly, or non-exotic familly at least.

Also I'd love them to have their 'original' familly skill instead of the SB buff, with the Sb heal added - but I guess that's just something I can only dream of

Just part of being in a pet family, they all get the family skill(s).
