Well, if they add more, then I might be interested. But with 6 other factions to get rep with, a farm to maintain, and pokewow, I see no reason yet to spend my time on arch in Panda.
In comparison, Cata had 18 epic arch finds, 14 rare. And we are getting 4 rare this first go around?... that's not a lot. Even if you considered it by zone, it's still weak compared to the others.
I'm wondering if the 2 Panderan races will give us a total of 8 or so rares, and 2 epics eventually. Still not a lot. But with what they are showing sofar, I'd rather spend my time trying to get the bug mount in Uldum...

Yeah, but the other thing that I hope will make it less painful this time is that we can do a bit as we go, rather than grind it out. If you're in a zone for other reasons and happen to notice a site, you can stop by on your way, and just do a bit now and then.

But they are telling you to grind it out. Do 20 of the same thing, and get 10 achievement points! Umm... yeah....
And to be clear, I really don't care about the epic gear stuff.. we need pets, another mount to chase... something. It doesn't have to be something super rare either. (I'd prefer it not be gear, as that does get to be too limiting, only so many can use it.)
Here's an idea that would be awesome...
Tmog gear from Arch. Gather a set that matches some ancient warriors. Only way to get it. That would be cool.

I'm definitely looking forward to the less-painful changes. My wrist isn't letting me do much BUT archaeology, and oh my god my brains are about to rot out somebody help me.
The upside is that the Tol'Vir mount popped up, but now I'm left trying to figure out what carrot-on-a-stick to dig for until Mists.

I'm ok with getting just a few rares initially. I'd much rather have them added over time, as next patches hit, so we don't have the same situation as in cata, with rare equipment finds (except pets and mounts) becoming obsolete trash.

Speaking of archaeology, are skill-ups still gotten the same way as they were before? I.E. no matter where you are, you get a +5 to your skill just for creating even grey objects? I know I asked before, but this was before a lot of things were set and no one knew.
I'm thinking of going for server first on Arch and knowing this would make it sooooo much easier. And possible.

If I were to guess, it comes from the quilien statuette find. It appears to be another "side effect" of the binding experiement.
