Ive seen people in low pop cities such as Dal, Shatt, and i heard of some being in Silvermoon. No one ever goes to UC so i dont know if theres people there.. and Darkmoon Faire is up so i cant check TB to see if thats gone cross-realm as well. Essentially it appears that every single zone in the game, if its under a certain limit, its given cross-realm attention.Zuilu wrote:I'm not sure if I'm crazy or if this is intended, but..crossrealm is working in Silvermoon City and Dalaran on my realm. Not just a couple people either, a lot of people, from 5+ different realms. I really thought this was just going to effect old world stuff, not major cities and high level zones :<

Eh. I wouldn't mind it if it had any of the perks of cross server stuff. Instead it's just more competition for things. And weirdly, I saw a flagged person from an RP-PVP server the other day. That'll be fun... I'm sure there's some cool parts, like maybe meeting new people, but most folks don't really have a reason to talk while we're just questing. Or can't, in the case of cross-faction. It's weird being one of the few Alliance in a horde dominated zone.Vephriel wrote:Guess I'm in the minority then.Dewclaw wrote:I have a guildie currently working on netherwing rep. I guess I'm just old and grumpy and like my space. I felt bad seeing someone lose Skoll to a night elf on another server who killed the pet, then killed her and emoted horrible things.

I feel the same way, I really dislike this new feature, and think it's honestly one of the worst things Blizzard has ever implemented. >.> But as you said, the only perk is having more populance in zones, which never bothered me to start with because WoW is very competetive between rare spawns, loot, gathering nodes, etc.Novikova wrote:Eh. I chose my server for a reason- because I wanted to play with people from my server. I chose an RP server because I love the community here and I want to be surrounded by RPers and increase my chance at finding random world RP... how much world RP do you think will be around now that PVP realms are in the zone with us? Not much if people don't want to get griefed. I've already seen the cross realm feature have disastrous effects in Silvermoon City and the Darkmoon Faire, where RPers were completely over taken by griefers, and the Darkmoon Rabbit was being glitched and reset by people from a PVP realm.

That's not how crossrealms are supposed to work. It's only grouping servers that are of the same type together, so you should only get grouped with other RPers.Zuilu wrote:I chose my server for a reason- because I wanted to play with people from my server. It isn't working like that right now. I saw people from the server Ursin and Burning Legion on Wyrmrest Accord, and those are both PvP servers. =/

As Wassa said, that's not how it's functioning, WrA is currently being grouped with a couple different PvP realms.Kalliope wrote:That's not how crossrealms are supposed to work. Smells like a bug to me then. :/ Dethecus didn't have other people around until Tuesday, but at least the people we're seeing are also from PvP servers.

I certainly hope it's a bug, as it's really not too enjoyable right now. I also hope main cities being cross-realm is a bug too - Dalaran and Silvermoon city being crossed with a bunch of other realms seems very..weird and off putting to me.

Re: Note to Rare pet tamers.
Another reason I'm hating this is my friend is getting harassed by people from WrA just cause she plays on Moon Guard. Last time she ran into some, they were harassing her in whispers and in say going "Ewww! Moon Guard! She must be a slut!" I felt so bad for her. ><;

Re: Note to Rare pet tamers.
And people from MG were dancing around naked in SMC harassing RPers when I was making fortune cards on my paladin. I'd really rather the realms just stay seperate, at least in major hubs.
There's always going to be the issue of realm pride, where one realm insists they're better than the other, or where people insist one realm is terrible because they or their friends didn't have good experiences on it,- which is just going to lead to teasing, problems and unnecessary comments. There's of course bad apples everywhere, but people tend to take it out of preportion and create these type of realm clashes that are starting to show more with cross-realm.

Something else interesting is two my friends when riding on the same mount got dismounted when they went into a new zone because they ended up on different servers....

Re: Note to Rare pet tamers.
Trust me, I'll never say Moon Guard is perfect. I've run into my fair share of morons (example: DK that claimed to have heroic DS experience. We bring him in. He was in mostly blues with a few LFR trinkets, and was unholy dual-wielding agility swords....a little part of me died that night. We asked him why and he claimed there weren't any better weapons.)Zuilu wrote:And people from MG were dancing around naked in SMC harassing RPers when I was making fortune cards on my paladin. I'd prefer it if people stopped stupid realm pride and just got along but noooo. That's not gonna happen and you and I both know it. Ugh....Cross realms...do not want!

Indeed, it would be nice if the realm barracade was lessened somehow- and it might seem that cross-realm is the solution to that, but I think it's just going to make it act up even more.Jessibelle wrote:Trust me, I'll never say Moon Guard is perfect. I transferred off of high pop realms because I don't like being so crowded. I don't think blizz thought this one through very well. I wonder if they're getting much feedback on it, and if so, what kind.Vephriel wrote:Guess I'm in the minority then.Dewclaw wrote:I have a guildie currently working on netherwing rep. Pardon my french, but Blizzard fucked up big time with this cross server nonesense. Either merge realms or leave it be.

Re: Note to Rare pet tamers.
I fly into Badlands from Strangelthorn to tame Zaricotl. On my way to Fuselight I fly over his spawning point and see that he is up, which makes me very excited that I do not have to wait for him to spawn, I land and suddenly I cross over realms, then i go looking for him and he is no where to be found. It is not only do hunters have to worry about competition we now have to worry that our rares will not be on the realm we zone into. Its a slap in the face when you get your hopes up then find out poof, their not on your realm any more.
Re: Note to Rare pet tamers.
This happened to me with one of the last two rares I need for Frostbitten! This isn't even the main problem I have with CRZ. It's just a bug that while frustrating will get fixed eventually. The real problem I have is that this new feature doesn't solve any of the problems of being on a low pop realm like non existent pool of raiders, guildies, people to pug with, do Arenas and RBGs. And it doesn't even touch the worst problem low pop realms face, a terrible economy, slow AH, and inflation.evil950510 wrote:I fly into Badlands from Strangelthorn to tame Zaricotl. All it does is take the few benefits, such as less competition for rares, and wipe them out completely while adding most of the downsides.

Re: Note to Rare pet tamers.
Another bit of BS with this CRZ crap is that now winning the Fishing Tournament got even harder. One title is now up for grabs across who knows how many servers. It was hard enough before when you only had to compete on one server. Add in a lot more and it gets ridiculous. It's the only thing I need for my Salty title and I'm not happy AT ALL about this!!
