As a warning, you CAN spend the 50g for a rename only to get the exact same name again. Demrissa pulled that that the first time I renamed her. -_-

Yep, you just pay a demon trainer 50g for each random name change, just like with regular warlock minions.

I think I'm leveling a Lock now for these fancy pets. I just would like the cool Voidwalker... what level do you get him? I think it used to be a level 10 quest, but its been so long I don't member

My warlock settled on his Fel Imp being named "Fiztoc".

...Not the same warlock, but I rolled a different warlock (a worgen) and got what may be one of my favorite voidwalker names ever:

My warlock's imp is named Azham. I giggle every time I see it. Didn't even have it changed... that's what he got the first time I summoned him. o_o
