Aw, I wanted adrianna's embrace and was planning on farming it when aoe looting came out without knowing that it would be changed already in the pre patch. I managed to run it once, and got the deathbone leggings....on a mage. Pretty purple dress, I want you :/

Well, not a real loss to you. To me, to Xakaal, to those that wanted those sets it IS real loss. 99% of the gear sets in Scholo were unique in appearance. Just because you won't miss them doesn't mean it isn't a loss to those who had their hearts set on them for mogging.
I'm glad one pair of gloves turned up. That is good news. But one glove does not 4 sets make. And maybe they'll turn up at the Faire, but that is a really big maybe. So far its only Teir stuff replicas at the Faire and the Scholo sets are not Teir.
The point is that Blizzard seems to be moving in a direction that means gear appearances aren't lost, just shifted around a bit. I fully expect the Darkmoon Faire selection to expand dramatically in the future to keep those dailies and such relevant.
That's what I meant. They seem to be doing that and I think it's a good idea. Maybe they will add old mounts one can only hope :3

I like the old Scholo better to be honest, it was neat in some places.
The scarlet mail and Tabard are gone as of right now. since the mobs that dropped the tabard are gone.
I have most of the Scarlet set except the chest which is kinda a loss. :/
They could possibly show up somewhere else(besides Darkmoon faire) never know really.

So... Alanna's Embrace it's gone... As are some rather nice sets that dropped from the bosses.

Like it was said above, wish they would add the old scholo/scarlet/ZG/Naxx/ZA/VC/SFK at CoT... Or at least some Bronze dragonflight NPC at the beginning of the instance with the option of running the old version.

Or maybe they will add the old armor/weapon models in the black market AH?

I was lucky and managed to get the whole bloodmail set except for the belt. But I'm ok without the belt. Never did see the sawbones shirt drop though, but I didn't know about it until this thread.

A question...can blizz restore lost gear? So if you had the gear at some point, isn't it possible to have them restore it?

they did for i think a couple months after they introduced transmog.. but then stopped all requests and set up the self-service option which only restores one item per month, and i think you need to have lost it within that month period (like, a full month time, not within the same month your using the service) to have it restored. They were flooded with so many requests they couldnt get anywhere and just shut everything down. It was actually crazy chaotic xD

Personally for me I would have preferred it if they had kept the leveling instances untouched, and then done these new ones for "Heroic" mode. After all, we (the adventurer) have already cleared out the place of its inhabitants, now as seasoned adventures we return to clear out the new evil that stepped in.

Sadly that's not the case (RIP SFK), although I ran some of these "revamped" dungeons on beta, i can honestly say that so far...i really do like the old versions better. I am not saying the new versions are bad, just that I don't find them as nice as the old versions.

Is that just only for gear? Coase they restored all my store pets/mounts on the toon I made for my little cousin after he deleted them in his mail all at once and I have no clue when he did but it was longer than a month. :S

Tho now I feel dumb cos I could of just waited till the latest patch!

Yea, armor only, there were far too many tickets filed and people complaining about not getting their stuff.. it was a train wreck xD I wish i knew i was missing the bow i wanted back then, i could of had it restored before they stopped taking requests. Its the only one of that color and its a rare model.

I definitely understand the OP's point of view on the change. I'm not sure I'll ever allow any of my toons to enter the new Sunken Temple ever again. The original was such a maze, so much stuff just in one dungeon, but I loved unlocking the secrets to it's puzzles. Now it's just 4 boring bosses in a tiny little dungeon with absolutely no fun attached.

I'm just praying that ZF doesn't get the same treatment, otherwise my 3 favorite Vanilla Dungeons will be gone.
