This also seems to confirm that the spectral porcupine is a mini-pet and not a spirit beast. Just my guess though seeing as theres a spectral porcupette on that list.

Nope, it doesn't confirm that at all. There's no reason to believe they're mutually exclusive.

After all, there are still two other colors.

I saw stunted dire horn on the list and was sold. Pet/mount/companion trio away!

According to the news on the MMO_Champion it looks like we're getting oracle-style eggs next patch, I bet the primal raptor mounts and the devilsaur hatchling (the Zandalari one) come form them. Well, unless the hatchling drops from the boss ;3

I kinda likes the oracle egg thingy, it was always fun wiating for it to hatch and see what popped out...Though I am hoping for a little less "Aged Yolk".

I found three more in my journal on the ptr that I haven't seen listed anywhere. Apologies if they have been. None of the three are so far exciting and all use old looks. The first one, at least, suggests a new model might be on the way...

- Electrified Razortooth. Standard green baby croc, but its name and description both suggest it should have an electric effect.

- Elder Python. Standard dark blue-black python. Its description, which says something about swallowing gnomes in one gulp, suggests it should be pretty large.

- Swamp Croaker. Standard green spotted frog.

All three are listed as "Pet Battle: Isle of Lightning."

Electric croc, eee!

In another thread someone else tamed a green spirit beast porcupine in Kun-Lai Summit.

Incorrect; the green spirit porcupine is from Jade Forest. The screenshot was taken in Kun Lai. The red one is from Krasarang. And blue was JUST now found in Kun Lai!

There are four different icons, too.

One of the Oraclely eggs just dropped for me from a Direhorn on the Isle of Giants. 3 days to go! Will be interesting to see what it contains (hopefully not yolk).

The Spectral Porcupine Mini-Pet is the Blue one (Just checked in Game)
It comes from the Quest - "A Large Pile of Giant Dinosaur Bones" which is given by the NPC that is found in the cave near the Red Devilsaurs on the Island.

The three Panda's seem to all come from the quest Beasts of Fable.

Looks like the Stunted Direhorn uses the white skin.

I'm so happy that we're getting a Direhorn minipet at all, but it uses my least favorite skin :/
(Which is amazing nonetheless, but the red one... HHNGH)
Maybe we'll get other colors? I doubt it, though...

Of course we get about 5 Panda variations but only one Direhorn!

And there's my entitled-feeling mini-complaint. I really like the new pets, though!

that doesn't mean it only comes in the one color. Many battle pets come in multiple colors, doesn't mean they are going to show them all, or that each individual color is displayed in the journal.

99% of the time, non-wild pets only come in one color. I figured this would be like the Stunted Shardhorn or Fjord Worg Pup, both of which are unique minipets and only come in one color each, despite having several more.

You meant more of the drop pets that are rare quality?

Ah, you're right.
I meant by specific pet, not skin.
For example, you get a pink Mulgore Hatchling and a purple Darkmoon Hatchling, but not any other colors of either.

I was saying "we might get other colors of this pet... but if the Stunted Direhorn remains the only triceratops pet we get, it's not likely."

The list has been edited with the new pets that are in the pet journal as of this build. If any others show up, I'll be adding them in as it goes.

I'm really excited for the Dire Horn! It has some really nice abilities (raptor abilities) *and* it looks sheer awesome. WIN-WIN!

I am very happy with the new panda models and also cannot wait for the stunted direhorn, i think that is the one i most want

A note of minipets there *aren't*: the 'Crow' minipet in Darkmoon Island still doesn't have a tameable mob. So the only way to get these is still as a secondary.
