Oh
I can't seem to set a single thread to block guests. I can only do it at forum level. So I'd have to move the Dragon Cave thread to its own subforum of other games in order to get it to work.
What would users think of that? If anyone posts in the DC thread, please let others know to express their opinions as well.

That might work so that both parties are happy. Magistream doesn't need multiple topics since we don't have to do 'drops' or anything like that. We'd just say "Heeeey we got these hatchlings. Anyone want em? I'll issue a trade!" and such. DC works much differently so that may work out well for the DC members. :3

It really is a pickle. :S Its own subforum would be nice, as long as it's not too much trouble. Would allow us to do some giveaway and trade topics without flooding the whole Other Games area.

This too is an option (I would gladly take the responsibility so it wouldn't result in extra work for the Mods), though not sure if it's indeed possible. Also it might risk turning the topic into a clique of sorts though - making it hard for new members to get in, if only out of fear of bringing in someone with bad intentions.
Edit: Oh, I assume the latter isn't possible (really should read more carefully). Not a big loss, considering how iffy it would've been. :)

So I created a DC subforum and set it so guests can't see it.
I switched the parent forum, which covers all other games, back the way it was. Unregistered readers can see it again.
Please let me know if there are any issues.

Then again I'm still trying to get my head around what is happening. I've never played this game and not sure what the scrolls etc. are about
Also your OP suggests you're blaming Golden for this, but I assume it's just the ambiguous wording?
Er, why would I blame golden at all? Its not her fault in any way.

It's just the wording. :) "I'm getting really sick of people(Golden) who are trying to set up the DC thread to have someone(person?) skim all the listed scrolls" suggests that you're getting sick of the former too, which we know isn't the case. Have to admit it scared me when I first read it. XD But it's no biggie, those things do happen.

Yeah, it was just the way it was worded. I had to read it 3 or 4 times because I couldn't believe you'd say that

Nope, cow. XD It's what I thought too. I was like "...wat?! Since when was Golden so mean and deviously devious?!"
