Oh man. It's been quite a while since those, hasn't it? I know I finished a few, but I don't remember what the others were! I could've sworn I did them all, though... If you'll just remind me, I can do it when I'm not terribly busy and when I don't have any commissions?

I know I've (hopefully) made it clear I'm open for commissions, but... I really, truly need some, guys. I don't want to sit here and try to tell you a sob story. I don't want you to feel sorry for me.

But I want you to know the situation I'm in, and think about commissioning me if you can. I've made a post about it on tumblr here. I've also made a post on the official forums (which hopefully isn't against ToS; I couldn't find any information on that), which I hope will expand the number of people I reach.

I need money, and I need it badly. Right now, it doesn't look like I'll be able to buy my textbooks for next semester, my birth control for the next month (which I need to keep me healthier), and it doesn't look like we'll even have money for gas.

I jhate to ask for help. But I need commissions.

The city of Amarantos was founded in 1632 by Mortimer Valda. Though he has long since passed on, and his ashes have been spread to both the desert and the sea, his words still echo through the desert flower. The people of Amarantos, human and jangwa alike, still remember his fevered insistence that the two much not become equals. The jangwa, the catlike people native to the land, have accepted this fact with resignation. Their human counterparts lord this fact over them without a thought to the matter. The laws of their world are strict: a jangwa can never equal a human.

But amongst the riches and splendor in the upper district, far from the squalor and grime of the lower district, a man writes a letter to his much-beloved friend. Though the two have not talked in many years, he still writes her every week. Tattoos stripe across his body, the blueish grey ink reminiscent of a tiger's pattern. The grey stands out against his skin, which is a dark tan.
