The ironic thing about Oondasta to me is, imo, it doesn't seem he was designed to even be attempted by groups who couldn't output X amount of dps. Seems pretty clear that stacks of Fury and Roar acted like the inevitable enrage mechanic, even if frill and beam were handled perfectly. I didn't expect people to kill him this early in the patch since this aoe enrage can kill 10,000 as easily as it can kill 1 (and who likes waiting 2 min for rez over and over).

Now, with the reduction in health and the upcoming beam nerf, it seems they want him to be zerged at whatever gear level. I expected them to nerf him, but I thought they would nerf him in line with keeping him difficult. These nerfs make him more accessible. I'm not against that, just surprised they went this route. So much for the boss they wanted to be hard. Get enough people and you can zerg his neutered health before fury even becomes an issue.

I finally got to see him die yesterday. One of the folks in the raid got the mount. I saw all sorts of "<raid member> receives loot <nice purple loot>" and eagerly clicked on my pile of spirit dust or whatever it is you get and I got....28g. Gee, thanks Oondasta. Owell. It covered part of my 35g repair bill.
