I agree, he's my favourite so far. <3 I really like how the speckled ones look, and am hoping to one day own Shrouded Carnage.

Scarlet Flame!

And more importantly...
Balge!! (Now known as Bagel, thanks to Sonnie.)

As of now, Balge is the rarest of them all - he only has a tiny, .1% chance to spawn in four different dungeons. I was fortunate enough to get him relatively soon - after approximately 10h spent running the dungeons overall, stretched over a few days.

I can't even attempt to get through character creation. Not sure if it's because it's bugging out about my screen size or what. =/ Also not overly thrilled that it forced me into making a male character.

Do you have to pay for the female ones or something? O.o

That's what I was wondering. But it could also be a bug with the way the game won't fit on my screen properly.

The launcher should have a Settings option, where you can adjust your game settings before starting up the actual game.

I can guarantee that females aren't restricted in any way - most of my characters are female, so it must be the resolution obstructing the gender switch.

Thank you, Golden. :) I figured I must have been doing something wrong to not figure out how to adjust my settings.

I don't see anything on my launcher for messing with screen settings and such. Gonna have to Google it. This is kind of a hassle for a F2P game.

Apparently the US client/launcher are totally different than the ones EU players see. -_-

Whuut, that sucks ass. o.o Ok sure it only just came into Open Beta, but that's just ridiculous.

Yeah. It seems that, at least for me and some other people, trying to play through the US client is just kind of one huge pain in the butt, and for a free to play MMO by SoE (whose track record with MMOs isn't so good :P), I don't really want to go through that much trouble just to try and get it to work right. I will instead be content to watch you guys post pictures of having dragons as pets. xD

It seems that the US and EU versions have different companies running them altogether. Which is really weird, but if you're feeling like it, you can give the EU version a go. I've heard installing it can be a hassle for some, but it seems it's better run than the US one - more updates (we're getting a minor patch today), better launcher etc.

(Why do I always think your avatar is Simba from The Lion King when I first glance at it? XDD)

(I have no idea. xD)

If I feel up to it sometime I might consider giving the EU version a try, but for the most part I'm content with the games I'm playing as I've been finding myself drifting more and more away from gaming to try and pursue other interests and activities.

Yeah I can imagine that. I mostly gave this one a go because I'd only just decided to quit my WoW subscription and was sort of looking for a new MMO to commit to. With that and the dragons, this was a perfect match. XD

I might just watch you guys here too. I really only can play one MMO at the time and that's WoW atm.

Also I've been playing Monster hunter lots lately and that has filled my dragon hunting desire right now

hey sorry for bring this back but i have a question cause i am wondering the fate of this game so far on if it bombed or its suffering or something.my question that i was worryed about when i last tested beta was the tameing change.i honstly perferd the old method of tameing cause i was happy tameing dragons 5 or 7 lvls higher then me then this new method comes out and i can't tame dragons 7 lvls LOWER then me.not good.i like the tameing dragons thing but i think if this is still the tameing method then my hope for a dragon tameing game is dead.

Currently in the process of downloading the game to give it a try. I should have tried it earlier. I mean.. come on.. I love dragons. Anywho, I'm looking through lists of dragons to get an idea which ones I want. Of course all the ones I really like are Ancient. Not sure exactly what that means, but I'm guessing they won't be easy to get.

Is there a specific server that everyone is on? Does anyone still play? If not I don't mind going about things on my own, but having someone to help out with newbie questions would be nice.
