Yup, better stay clear of the dark places. We could get eaten by a grue :P
I'll just leave this here:
http://fromdraenor.com/?p=1046

As for Wrathion, I'm nowhere near 'fangirling' (first, I'm afraid I'm already to old and cynical for that), but I think he's a great character with a helluva lot of potential. I really like the way he counts as 'good' without being 'nice'.
Chaotic-neutral, I'd say? My fav alignment :D Although it hasn't stoped my dwarfie, after being told to go gather ToT items AGAIN, to promisse him that she's getting a pair of black dragonskin gloves as soon as she beats the last legendary piece out of him.

We can only hope Blizz won't spoil him, turning him into some generic villan, like they did with DW. Hopefully they've learned their lesson. I really like what they did with Garry.

There is a difference between someone's post "coming off" in a certain way and their post coming off to YOU in a certain way. The latter is fact. The former is speculation coloured by your own manners of expression and social perception. You, any of you, will not use that as a basis of a rant directed at the person.

Whether or not you have a beef against a subculture of "yaoi fangirls who ship and claim it's canon", real, imagined or embellished, you will not use it to justify smothering a person's one line comment here.

Whether or not you belong to other discussion groups and somehow have developed the idea that your particular group is representative of the general opinion on a given topic and you therefore have a superior opinion, is irrelevant here.

Whether or not you feel angry and frustrated from seeing certain types of comments over and over and feel that, as a result of suffering them, you deserve to indulge in a suppressive and angry demeanour on that subject, is irrelevant here.

These comments do not pertain to this topic alone. I've seen similar responses from posters in other threads at varying times. It seems to be strongest in threads involving fandom, and gives the impression that sometimes people develop a sense of ownership over a franchise, which is all in their head.

Fortunately it's rare. Most of the time people are very respectful here and I expect that to continue.

While true, things could've been worded better on both ends, I personally feel it shouldn't have been said to begin with since(obviously) it opens a whole can of worms and ships usually lead to a shipwar, which I think we all don't wanna see here. I don't think the comments were necessarily a jab at them as it was just how they worded what they said and then it kinda devolved from there into the 'yaoi fangirls' bit. Ships tend to be a very touchy subject regardless of the fandom it's in.

Regardless, I don't believe this topic was supposed to be about who likes what pairing anyways. Just the lovable dragon we know as Wrathion.

But yeah...my two cents on that and I'm gonna let it rest now.

On a better topic: Found a nice Wrathion Wallpaper!

Rofl. I picture him being awkward but also a gentleman about it.

Yeah, it wasn't. How the commenters stepped over the line into the yaoi fangirl subject I still don't know. O-o

So true, I agree with you. Just because he has a good cause (as he sees it I dunno) doesn't mean he's nice either. He's got that obvious darkish/troublesome tint to him though anyhow.

Now I think about it, people aren't so crazy about Wrathion probably because he looks so....OLD, in the graphics, know what I mean? His face doesn't look young at all. :I

It's the fanart of a young-looking him I can't stop staring at. X'D

Well he deserves a break. For a two-year old to poop out as many legendaries as he had is quite an accomplishment :D

Following the end of the events of MoP he needs a time out more like it. I hope he doesn't follow what seems the obvious path of uncorrupted black dragon who of course caves into corruption because its in his blood.

While we're at it PLEASE fix his in game model he looks so old.

THANK YOU! Someone agrees! Yes, he does look QUITE old. You notice the aged look in his cheek lines...it bothers me so much, I want to go and hack the graphics to fix it. XO

*Forgets to breathe*

oh, lol....I remeber those lines from the quests at the Celestial temples when Wrathion is blindfolded.

Like "Where did you go?? COME BACK!"

"A-HAAAA!" (player: missed me you sucker!!)

And all of our favorite one:

"Hold still, I'm TRYING TO KILL YOU HERE!"

*loses all of breath laughing* Sigh, that never gets old.
