What were they, 12? that is the rudest-oh my goodness I am going to start ranting about this and I'm not even invovled. Sheesh, I cannot think of a single more ridiculous thing to kick someone out of a guild for. Not everyone has computers that will run both wow and a chat program at the same time. Not everyone can afford a headset and or be loud and chatty with buddies while on the computer-what if you had family sleeping in the next room or a baby or a ton of other things!
Oh that makes me just furious.
So sick of elitist jerks-and not the website. Sorry that it happened to you, guild drama like that is the main reason my guild of 33 toons is really just a bank guild that includes myself, my best friend, my brother's toons, my sister and two coworkers. Mostly my friend and I have elveled it completly from scratch ourselves, we're almost to level 25
You will like having a small guild with just your friend-you can use guild chat while in instances or raids together and not have to worry about people butting into your conversations. Also getting achievements actually feels like a major deal when you are a very small guild. And having the guild bank and any tabs you get for it all to yourself is really, really nice for all the extra storage-anything we want to hold onto that is not soulbound-transmog gear for alts, materials, cloths, potions etc, we just toss in there to use when we need it.
Good luck on the guild with you and your buddy, and the offer has been made elsewhere but if you need to join a guild in Garona you are welcome to look up my guilds and join in though there are not that many people in the guilds, hah. My main toon, Shadé, is the guild leader of the lager Alli guild while my horde main, Raikó, is the leader of our much, much smaller guild (we don't play horde that often, heh).

My partner and I are the only ones left in our guild. It fell apart long, long ago, before the end of Wrath. My partner doesn't play a great deal so when guild levels arrived, I've essentially leveled it on my own. Currently half way through lvl12
I can tell you, getting guild achievements feels GREAT because I know we worked our butts off to get them.
You will survive!

So sorry to hear about this, but good on ya for making your own guild. Over the 9 years Ive been playing I found only 1 guild that i meshed with and that was back in vanilla, we all leveled from level 1 to 60 and started raiding, I took a week off and came back on to find the guild had been disbanded due to them merging with a larger raiding guild. I was crushed! I have yet to find a guild that I meshed with since then, but after that happened me and my then 'friend' (now husband hehe) made our own guild over on whisperwind.
I actually have gotten that guild to level 19 all by myself!! And at the moment Im not far from hitting level 20. My husband quit playing hard core a long time ago, and he keeps telling me to add people to the guild, but now that I have gotten this far im gonna get all the way to 25 by myself. Its MY guild for real and I love it that way.
When you start recruiting let us know!! That way we all can come over and run around with you guys!

@ Shade. You said it. Voice chat is not an option for all. You would think older people, cause they weren't young punks, would get this. Not to mention get why I was upset about the clique. They made me an officer soon as I poked my head in.....which in retrospect should have worried me. I had a right to worry because behavior that alienates new members as well as old and they wondered why new recruits kept leaving! Pfft!
@ Kayb. We're still level 1, but I look at our 31% and smile
@ Valfreya. That would be cool. I will make sure to let you guys know. I'd of course have to ask my friend if she likes the idea, just to be fair, but I'm certain she would gladly welcome alts of you guys. She was really touched by what people said

If we get some visitors, we'll be sure to have a party

If you were on a server I was already in, I'd throw my alts in too, but alas, I've no one on that one

Just a bit of an update on our new guild
We changed our name (I know, it was a cute name, but on an RP server it was proving a stumbling block...the Burrow lives in our heart forever) . We are now Wildwood Enclave, which I love the sound of. We've gotten up to level 5 and have a grand total of 7 members

Its a small start but we are starting to get off the ground. I'm pretty thrilled about it, and the leveling goes faster with each new person. So that old guild can kiss my panda's tail! We're making it on our own! *happy dance*

That's a shame. I thought it was a cool name. You could have changed it to "the Borough". Same pronunciation, but implies a town

Aww

I know, it was a nice name. But, it wasn't going over on that server. Zero responses to recruitment. And, after I changed it, we got a bite the very first time I advertised and we've been getting about a member a day since. So, sadly, the cuteness lost. But, I am quite fond of the new one

What server is your guild on? I'm tempted to make an alt just to join in the fun! The more the merrier, I always say

Indeed, if it's WrA I have a bunch of alts who could use a home, and I'd be happy to stick 'em there, especially if the guild is an RP guild.

I personally love the new name! It sounds great! It's good to hear that you and your friend have picked yourselves up and moved on to do your own thing. I think you will be a lot happier that way.

I've got some alts, if its one one of the servers I am on, I could join on my alt. Every little bit helps the leveling ^^
