Rares in lowbie areas are primarily for xp of leveling characters. That some of them have unique skins for hunter taming is a bonus. A variety of challenges to tame rares is good. Frankly, I thought tracking was kind of boring after the first time. And while days long spawn timers that make camping for days is mind-numbing, I think an hour spawn timer isn't unbearable.

Oh no I made Jun cry, I didn't mean I'm sorry madexx will spawn in the perfect color every time for you now on.

Yeah, as long as the tracking style is available for everyone, I'd like that. You can make the case the Cata/hunter track rares are for hunters. But everywhere else, they drop loot for all classes, so I think making any possible "tameable beast" that's rare for hunter only isn't exactly fair. Make it a quest drop, but make it for everyone. Make it trackable, but make it for everyone.
