That rat really needs work yet. It's way too bearish still. The legs are just way too thick.
The fox looks a little stone like to me with all those fur clumps. Atleast in the face.
That dragon though... It's the bone hounds made into a dragon! I would love to see more colors of that. All it's missing is the colored glow.
Wasn't expecting a kodo skin update. Nice. They needed it.

I'm excited for many of the new models. I'm just trying to extract them now.
The only new one I'm not happy about is the fox (apart from the rat with no tail, but I assume it's an error and a tail is forthcoming!). I know some people hate the way clumped fur has been used in the past, but I normally don't mind it, yet I really think they've taken it a step too far this time. The fur clumping is so extreme it looks like knots of wood or cysts.
Foxes should be sleek creatures!

You just know that rat will have the animations of bears. I still want one though.

bad clipping issues, hopefully they'll be fixed though, it is alpha afterall. Definately bear animations, not rat like at all.
The fox doesn't do it for me, the tufts of fur are overdone imo.
Those kodos.... by god they are awesome. I have wanted updated kodos for so long... I look forward to seeing the paladin versions

I'm still trying to find the riding kodo model that MMO-C is showing. Either it's not yet on the public release (MMO-C sometimes pilfers releases early!), or I'm yet to guess the name of the model. It's definitely not listed in the file database, like most models are.
I do have the regular and woolly kodos, however. The only skin colours released are those that match the originals and I'd say it's pretty obvious they're meant to be replacements for the old kodos around the world.
I'm optimistic we may see more colours, though. Because they're clearly replacing the old mount at the same time and there were a bunch of colours created for it that never had non-mount versions (despite the fact the only difference was a harness pasted over the top). I'm hopeful when they update those they'll make non-harness versions as well. It'd be awesome to have a wild purple kodo, etc.
In sadder news, the bear2 model seems exactly the same. But it's still early!

I'm also glad they are thinking outside the box with new models and mounts, even ratbears and foxes and fishes.
However that fox... all I think about is this...
Edit: the black and white fox is simple a grayscale effect for comparison, not a new color variant.

Pretty much, Quiv. All I can think of when I look at it is a realistic chiseled statue that is painted. The fur clumping is getting out of control. It's like shoulder armor size was for a while. It just keeps getting bigger, and bigger.. and bigger.
Come on Bliz, break out those combs and get to work! XD

Yeah, it really just...they went overboard with that strange clumped look. The fur looks like molded clay all stuck together. I'm not a fan.

I am sick of the clumped fur too and it's the reason I don't like the draenor Wolves as much.
But.. I actually like it on the fox. It almost reminds me of the illustrations you see in old Folklore stories or something, if that makes sense? Or maybe I'm just nuts but it really doesn't bother me as much. xD

I wouldnt mind the fox fur clumping if they had made the fox golem-like. The fur as it is looks like it should be made of wood or stone.
Less clumping would be needed to make an actual living fox look decent.

I quite like the fox fur as it is - seems abit more artistic to me. Also this has got to be one mondo fox to be able to carry our fat butts around on so I figured it wouldn't be the sleek skinny animal we are used to seeing as our pets.

I like the fox mount look. It has a sort of stylized storybook feel, reminds me of woodcuts or stained glass. Very "Aesopian".
