Ursa and I are anxiously awaiting character copies to see if he's been grandfathered out of the bear change. x_x

Edit: currently sitting around on a test hunter with one of the changed bears. I could get used to this if he does change.

I instantly made a gnome and tame a bear outside of Stormwind, then checked my fav polar bear bjarn (who got old model) and then tamed a mushan.

yeah my priorities are with taming not with testing out bm or surv or mm.

I got character copy to work and it copied my druid as it's my main on live and has the majority of my items that became new toys hoarded. I was able to log into it and see it spam all the tmog achievements but now all my characters on my account are bugged and keep disconnecting every 1-2minutes and reverting everything I did within that timeframe. Maybe I shouldn't have copied my druid who had all the tmog stuff in the bank and void storage. Perhaps I overworked the poor server with all those unlocks at once. lol Prior to that though I did manage to make a gnome survival hunter and run over and tame the Rabbot. I'll let it go for awhile and check later to see if my disconnect issues after character copying gets fixed.

Ursa's not grandfathered out of the change and I can't say I'm disappointed. The old model always had problems, so I don't mind the new one having different issues. He's still my baby. <3

Time to update the PTR and test out this BM and see if I will or won't change >.>;;

Every time I try to get into the PTR my mouse cursor disappears.
It's very frustrating, it makes navigating the menus nearly impossible.

I was able to fix the stupid mouse problem (it's Blizzard's own mouse-enhancing thingy that doesn't work for me).

Can someone PLEASE tell me who the genius is who thought that a BM hunter should start out with a fricken' Polearm??????

How do I get a ranged weapon to start out?

And is this typical of the beta, should my UI be so small? I can't find any function to make things larger.

I believe there should be a gun in your backpack Sukurachi (from memory). It's just a green quality gun though, nothing too fancy

there was actually another polearm.

My blackened Spear isn't showing up for any of my other toons. Yes they are Horde.

^^^^ Can confirm. There are actually two polearms (with different item levels) and a gun. The lower item level polearm is the one in the mail. The other (and your gun) should be in your bag.

I have a question for those who already have tried PTR, is it based off the legion builds or is it still on live builds? I mostly wanna test PTR to see how the specs are working to see how I'll do come Legion.

PTR=Legion without the new land mass.

Mkay, trying out PTR, so far, not too happy with BM, but haven't tried the others yet so we'll see. I'll edit as I get further.

Set up: Draenei Hunter lv 100, PTR wolf, named it MoonMoon.

MoonMoon: Pretty sure I named it right, kinda stupid, but is still trying his best.

Attempt 1 BeastMaster: OH MY GOSH WHAT DID YOU DO TO ME BLIZZ I AM USELESS AS A HUNTER! *sobs uncontrollably as she's stuck on CDs while MoonMoon attempts to fight without dying* *tries stampede* What the crap?! I AM NOT A BATTLE PET!!! Just kill me now, please, I can't do this. *MoonMoon dead*

Attempt 2 Survivalist: Huh...this is kinda fun. The animation is pretty cool, I'm still not a big fan of melee though, but I can throw axes at them COOL! MoonMoon where are you going? No over here, HERE MoonMoon! Yes, right there. Not bad keeping you alive, though you're still kinda wimpy. You did good *patpat*

Attempt 3 Marksman: Screw you lone wolf, I'm having a pet. Right MoonMoon? *MoonMoon licking himself*.....er right. Oh well anyways. Huh, this is kinda like BM use to be, a decent amount of shots to avoid the CDs...Holy CRAP I have generated a ton of focus! YEAAAAH! EAT MY BULLETS!


Current assessment: BM has been trashed to the point that the rotation is mostly all CDed and you can barely fight. I want my old Stampede back. Heck, just having arcane shot would be nice!! Survivalist is pretty fun despite being melee, and Marksman isn't boring like it use to be to me, it's actually fun. It actually feels like what BM was to me minus the special pets and a few more shot choices.

Though as a tauren I also have warstomp, so with melee I can also stun a target when I attack, so melee might not be a bad choice. I still prefer ranged the most, but I am really leaning into Survival, it was really fun XD

Yeah BM without the artifact is the only thing worse than BM with the artifact. Never crossed my mind that BM on PTR would be god awful. I'm going to make sure I have a baleful armament and 500 valor on live so I can immediately switch to SV when the pre-event hits.

Eeeeyup, all specs aside from MM have lost Arcane shot. Which, had we as BMs had it atleast would have had something that wouldn't have been on constant cool down so we could have been semi-viable for short periods, atleast till the focus ran out. Which is does in about....3-5 shots, so you're pretty dead in the water after 3 or 5 shots and everything is on CD. Including your pet attacks.

Cause that could be partially why BM suck ass now. Granted from the beta tester reports even with the artifact it still sucks ass. I did not mess with BM, SV and MM when on the PTR. My wow sub ends tomorrow and I cannot renew it so. Yeah.

Yes, that was one of the reasons I planned to test out the PTR, since we don't have access to the artifacts and most of it isn't spoilerific (granted I always beta or test on Ally side so as not to spoil my Horde side) so I could test the mechanics and rotations of the new builds. That's why I like pre-testing, while in Beta I'm mostly hunting bugs and visual problems, pre-testing I focus mainly on mechanics and the aspect itself since I don't have a large line of quests to check through to make sure everything is working. (Course having Beta stacked on top of PTR testing, you have had a chance to run a rotation awhile to feel you're doing it the best you can so I'm a wee behind since I didn't get Beta this time around, I had to build the rotation myself without a long time of testing it back and forth to get it streamlined.)

Since everyone had been talking so much about how BM sucked with the artifact I was wondering how it acted before you got the artifact, and should I increase my gun to be atleast slightly above par if I didn't change specs. Which, sadly, even with my 705 gun, with the CDs and loss of focus so fast, even a powerful gun can only do us so much. When I saw how badly the numbers and CDs were, I tried the other specs, as I'm definitely changing to one of them, even if it means I'll miss my beloved exotics. And with how MoonMoon's paths got wonked up and lagged, I'm terrified to see what Hati is gonna do. Furthermore, without the artifact, MoonMoon died horribly fast. And this was just fighting (tiny spoiler) the lv 100 duelers in the harbor. You can only imagine a much harder hitting hostile that's a level or so above you. X_x;;

*thumbs up* Good plan, I'm still playing back and forth between Marks and Survival, but I'm really liking SV amazing as that sounds. Make sure you're heavily geared up for pre-event, because without the artifact we're basically well.... Battle pets. That's the best way I can explain it. We have about 3 moves, and they're all CD-setup so you can kill maybe one enemy, but if you get another one on top of you you're dead in the water.

That's the biggest thing I've figured out from the current testing, BULK UP BEFORE PRE-EVENT!!!
