If you're fighting a boss, especially if it's been buffed, be wary of someone bribing the guards. People like to do it when the boss is low on health, and doing massive aoe. That way they get all the eyes from players dying in melee range in addition to the boss eyes. I'm pretty sure if you die, you still get the boss eyes, if it dies... because people bribe too soon sometimes. It's better if you survive and can loot the boss (or other nearby corpse), just in case you get sharded to a new underbelly when you run back from the gy.
