Ever since Legion came out, the basilisk models on wowhead where always olive. Why, I don't know. I also lost my pretty orange basilisk. :*(

I just merged the two threads on this topic. It seems to have hit all basilisks. Official bug thread:

Just logged back onto WOW after running errands and I see the Basilisks are still the Olive-Green color. I noticed on one of the bug forums that there is a message saying: “Undocumented Hunter nerfs have gone Live”. So maybe Blizzard knows about it now? And hopefully might do something about it.
P.S.: that was the post I was talking about on the WOW forums.

One thing I noticed about the basilisks is that the model has changed in *general*. They seem to move differently and seem to have been appearance-adjusted. It's a complete model overhaul.
I expect they're planning to change the skins over onto that model 'overhaul'. It can't have been intentional to have made all the skins the exact same color; I suspect this is a bug related to the update.

Ohh, you're right. It's that new run animation that I suspect is for the mount? Hmm, interesting!

That explanation makes sense. It does seem to be the mount minus saddle.
The only thing that doesn't make sense is why they'd do that with no real testing, unless it was a mistake.

It may be just me but looking on wowhead the model definitely looks different, like more smooth - modern, like it got a bath and the movement animation IS different. I would swear it ran like the vanilla /bc basilisks before with that almost high walk hopping motion. Now it's smooth, low slung to the ground in a centipede-ish motion. I love it. It's somewhat reassuring the color issue is a bug but it's not (sadly) convincing me to resub right now given how broken so many things are.

I'm sorry, but I have to do this >.<
Olive them? What a shame! I guess Oil wait to get one until it's fixed. It would really be the pits if they just leaf this alone and don't fix it. I wonder what happened. What a mis-tree.

Man this is sad

I finally managed to tame a felslate basilisk one day before the patch hit, and he just looks awful now. Do we know yet if this is a bug or intentional?
With this and the stealth BM nerf, this patch has kind of sucked so far.

I'm sure it's a bug. They wouldn'tve made all those different colors that've been in the database from the beginning if they intended to make them all the same color. The problem is, since 7.1 introduced a lot of -gameplay- issues, I have no doubt that the focus is fixing those first, and 'one type of mob got its skins messed up' is super-mega-not on their radar right now. They haven't even fixed the 'taffy teeth' on troll cat druids yet, and that's been there since 7.0 dropped.
(at least I don't think so, should check.) Also, what 'stealth BM nerf'? I haven't noticed any nerfage.

It wasn't an intentional nerf, Nacht. Essentially, it was a bug where BW was doing everything it normally does *EXCEPT* giving our pets and hati a damage buff. So Mastery stacking BM hunters were seeing HUGE dps loss during long fights, especially boss fights with multiple BW uses.

Oh. I saw that in the hotfix notes though, I think it's fixed. (which explains why I was all 'what nerf'...)

yup yup, my numbers are significantly better currently than they were yesterday, so I'm assuming the hotfix was successful.

Nachtwulf, I was browsing the forums before going to bed. Now, after seeing that, I may never sleep again. But....wow, impressive work!

Thank you! That's the 'child' from my "Nuclear Family" scene. Daddy is a green radioactive zombie, Mommy has a beehive hairdo and tentacle arms. XD

It seems there's no response to this issue yet.

Nope. Still green. I do like the new animation though.
