Doesn't seem to work on Heroic.
Did a heroic run on LFG, waited 30min for soft reset, went back in and no Fenryr in cave

this is super exciting and awesome. I can't wait to tame him!

So I ran mythic HoV with three hunters and a tank. Waited 30 min, but fenryr is not there.

Were all the mobs gone? Did you go to the cave on the minimap showing his icon? Or the first one you find him at?

Cause when ya zone back in after 'soft reset' 30min - all mobs will be gone i.e. trash you didn't kill when you ran it... and he'll be in the back of the cave asleep (the one showing his icon on the minimap)

nope, mobs are still there.

BAH. I think I need to run ToV anyhow for a quest, but finding a group will be a bit tricky. Over half of my requests are declined. .-.

I will get this wolf. >(

Does anyone have a lockout to help me tame this guy cause unless you can get him in LFG than I am screwed?

It was originally supposed to be a reward for soloing Mythic HoV up to Fenryr. It may be fixed to this behavior in the near future, so if you want this pet without the solo challenge, you better get it now.

I think this is a big shame. Would have been a pretty prestigious pet if the challenge worked properly (and everyone could get it next expansion if they couldn't complete it).

Thanks for highlighting this, for anyone who can get it before it's changed. I don't encourage people to exploit bugs in the system but this is a little different. Jeremy seemed ot be OK with it. Also, the Blizzard employee who replied came across (in his second tweet) as a little obnoxious. Are Blizzard letting people tweet who have the social skills of MMO-C forum posters now? I thought they took a big step back from that.

Well, he isn't exactly wrong. It is far more rewarding to do the challenge and tame him that way than just to utilize a bug to get it.

Hopefully they don't fix it before those of want this wolf and can't run mythic get a chance.

I didn't say he was wrong. But "lol" is a mocking taunt. It's unusual behaviour for a Blizzard employee on Twitter.

It seems Jeremy has deleted the original tweet congratulating Achorn on the find. So I guess it really was an unintended method.

I might be out of luck then. I don't think I can solo up to Fenryr and I wouldn't be able to find a mythic group tonight. Bah.

Not the only one there as my gear is only 850 on my hunter and no one in group finder is really advertising it.

Wow! I've always wanted to tame him since running HoV on legions release. Hopefully I can tame him tonight!

I just tried to share my mythic lockout with my best friend, but it puts us in different instances no matter what, so I'm afraid there's no sharing lockouts, you have to run it yourself.

(I was hoping it would work so I could help some people here tonight, sorry guys!)

Not sure why any of the devs are saying it's unintended. When you get there, Fenryr is sleeping in his cave, neutral, not aggressive, and is clearly a different Fenryr NPC.

The fact Muffinus seemed to think it WAS intentional makes me feel like the other devs are like "NO. NO NO NO. They're finding things TOO FAST. We must change this and tell them that was the plan from the start!"

When does anyone think they might hotfix this cause I really want him on my main hunter she is the wolf collector and I can't run mythic not that good.
