I've only seen them in aquariums but I'd love to see a wild one. Aussie does have some great fish imo.
Day 7 of Mermay is the Yellowbelly flounder! I'll be honest I had this idea in the shower and it kind of creeps me out lol

I think flounder in general are very Picasso like. Odd fish they are!
Day 8 of Mermay is the Kahawai or as the Australians call it the "Australian salmon". I think the Maori is a bit better of a name XD

I got this fellow from my copy of The Field Guide to Marine Fishes of Tropical Australia and South-East Asia. A great book. Aussie has some crazy colourful fish compared to NZ.

Day 10 of Mermay is the Tomato Clownfish! I think a sea anemone might make a good gamer chair.
I might do a "nemo" Clownfish aka Ocellaris clownfish at some point also

Day 11 of Mermay is the Australasian snapper! I mean in NZ we just call it snapper but it's not a 'true snapper". I mean in Aussie they call them snapper too.
Has she stayed up all night or just hates mornings?
