With the fact Blizz is putting in previously untamed skins; IE Trachela's mate, the GREEN 2head Carrion Bird and the Green Warpstalker, I am now in serious doubt that the Clutch Mother is being retired. I mean in the fact that her skin will be untameable and extinct. Blizzard is already showing they're even opening higher level pet familes [wasps atm] up for lowbies. Meaning while Clutchmother herself may be gone, her skin may possibly still be around. This could also be the same for Echayekee and Sian-Rotam, it could be Blizz is going to make the skins available without long quest chains. I mean they opened up the Sian and Shy quest for Alliance as it was extremely unfair for alliance to be unable to have any access to not only a 'rare' lion but also the rare blue tiger skin too.

I found out i had the Beta last night, and id like to help out in whatever way i can. Finding out whats retired/extinct is one of my main concerns for Cataclysm. Perhaps one of you more senior members can give me "assignments" per-se, to go and check some stuff? Not really TOO In the know about a bunch of the pets, but this site is a great resource, so i shouldnt have too much of a problem tracking things down.

I'd like to see another floating island of tallstriders with the clutchmother's skin like they have with those purple birds in Terokkar. Then we'll know for sure they'll be safe, no matter what.

...or, since Azuremyst Isle has tallstriders, why not put the clutchmother there?

there are pink tallstriders in barrens btw so its not gonna be a "rare" skin but havent seen if theyr tamable yet
oh and i think tauren hunters start with one now or was it a clutch colour i forgot

I found this in the pet spreadsheet Mania posted in another thread somewhere. Says they're level 31-32, and are new. Evidently they have a glittering effect prior to taming, but do not keep it after being tamed.

right at the start of the video to the right you see a giant blue buzzard flying. i beleive thats the rare Vultros still alive and kicking

I'm pretty sure they'll still be there - I've not read anything that indicated they were messing with this Dungeon. But are the purpley-red hyenas that spawn in the Scarlet Monestary still available/tameable/there?

I'm thinking they are like I said; but since I had to give up that Hyena when BC launched due to lack of space (and its the only Hyena I ever loved) - I really want to go back and get my Jasiri again; I hated giving him up . But gotta wait for Caty to launch with the extra spaces (four pets which are either unavailable or rare spawns means no more swapping out for new pets lol - I could drop the rhino if I have to but I'd rather just wait till launch unless for some unknown reason they are gone).
