The pups are about the size of a tamed Corehound (a bit bigger? the face messed with the size for me, lol) could they be a new skin for tameable Corehounds?

Jeez... Yeah, I'll have to second most of the responses here. It was hard enough killing Halycon and her pups in LBRS without going "WHHHHHHHY D:" and this is going to suck just as bad (if not more). I hope there is an achievement for this, as suggested in the video, where you spare the poor puppies.

Yes, and it looked terrible with BW. It scaled very poorly.

They then gave us the mini-pet, which was truly adorable.

God, I remember General V's trash in Ulduar back when it was the newest raid instance....in other words, everything still hurt. A lot. And had to be CCed. It was such a novelty to have to CC again....

But I digress. CC tends to make a comeback with new expansions, before players are geared enough to faceroll everything. It was to be expected!

Killing the mommy is almost as bad as killing the puppies. You want to create motherless puppies? (and if you killed The beast...*gasp!* orphan puppies!) There should be a way that you can tame the mother and puppies (I don't mean as hunter pets I mean tame them so they become friendly) and then beauty will tell the puppies to go get prizes. (loot that does not drop from her if you kill her, only if you tame her and her puppies go get "Beauty's Chest" which could include a rare drop of...A CORE HOUND MOUNT who doesn't want to ride on a two-headed fire doggy.

The problem then is that people will do the taming part only because they won't have to fight the boss, to save time.

And if you mean like in BRD, where you can skip the barfight by bringing stuff to a succubus-waitress, nobody would do it. Guess why. Because the mats are from outside the dungeon. And if they were available inside, it'd be too easy.

Get my point? They can't make it so we save them because we want to, we will save them because we can save time.

Well maybe you would have to get something from outside the instance. If it dropped a mount people would probably do it

Then nobody will do it, because of random dungeon, even if it drops a mount, unless of course you have someone who wants the mount, and then they'd risk losing it to people that only want it because ZOMG MOUNT NEED!
