*nods* That's the biggest annoyance when levelling a baby hunter. I'm usually out questing with a Tenacity pet, but I like queueing for a random while I do that just so I'm not standing in one spot waiting for the dungeon to pop.

I'll get more information as soon as I can. There's some scattered bits showing up on the beta forums but the beta realms are too unstable for most people to log in, which means I am only seeing what people notice in less than 5 minutes.

Just kidding. I'll take all these little crumbs as they fall off the table of the lucky people that are in the beta, and I will eat them up and enjoy them, and then I will ask for more. That is how much I can't wait for this expansion.

DUMB QUESTION TIME:
Does a baby hunter start off with these 20 stable slots, or does she gain them over time/have to buy them? In addition, do you have to buy your 4 *active pet* slots (as we currently have to do with our stable slots on live)?

I bet this has been asked and answered a dozen different threads.

I don't think it has been answered though. As far as I know, we don't know at this point in time. The stables were only implemented in the latest beta patch, which was juuuuust launched and keeps crashing the realms.

Actually, when Mania posted those SSes, she said they were from a level 10 hunter. So either this is part of the testing process or that's how it's going to be.

It almost seems as though these stable slots will just be 'the norm' for hunters. No purchase necessary, it's what the class comes with and that's how it is for the duration of your character.

At least that's what I feel is happening from what we can tell at the moment.

Yeah, I suppose people would be wanting that 200g back. I guess it would be nice, but I wouldn't throw a fit if I didn't get it.

I just find it really stupid to throw a fit about 200g. That comment was civilized, some of the ones following it? Not so much.

If stable slots turn out to be free...the 200g is long gone and I really don't care if I get it back. I'm just happy to get so many stable slots and glad that future hunters won't have to spend such a lot of gold for stable slots. I haven't played other classes beyond about lvl 20, but I don't think any other classes have an analogous expense for something that is part of their class.

Getting my 200g back would be nice, but not too worried about it. 200g is, what, a days worth of dalies, or selling some mats on the AH?

XD Those screenies Mania posted still only show the hunter with one active pet. Excuse my pessimism, just want to be 100% sure (or as close as I can be to it in beta, which is prone to changing at the drop of a hat).

It's not like we paid that 200g for nothing. We've paid for the usage of those slots these past years. Now we just get free ones.

Bah, 200g is nothing. It was nothing in TBC, it's even less now, and I guarantee it'll be less than nothing in Cataclysm. And like Veph said, we didn't pay the 200g for nothing, we paid for years' use of stable slots. I have certainly gotten a LOT of use out of mine!!
