Oh god yes. My main still doesn't have the wintersaber mount, while my sad, neglected hordie has her beautiful raptor mount.

You have a point.I'm definately glad the raptor wasn't part of a faction. Lord only knows how hard it is for me to stick to leveling reputation. Then again, doing dailies is also hard. I've got a short attention span.

But with the Cataclysm, the wintersaber mount may be gone! o_o In anycase, they could've at least revamped the questline. Of course, then us Hordies would whine. "Allis already had a mount! Why make it easier?! They get all the love!" *rolls eyes* Can I just become part of a neutral faction and not listen to either sides QQ? :/
Sorry for letting that out. I've played on both sides and rotted my brains out on the forums to see how people react.

Depends... This particular one is at the end of a quest chain about remembering the destruction of Auberdine, so it references Night Elves and the Cataclysm... What would be a similar scenario for the Horde? *scratches chin* The destruction of the Barrens perhaps?

Maybe. What about Cairne? If he dies, that is. Do we know what happens to him? Hrmm... Lots of people were upset about it when, was it MMO-Champ that announced it?, we heard about it and the Tauren would want to remember him. Other than that, I see no reason why we should get one. I think I'd have to go in and dig around to see which Horde territory gets beat up the most.

Er what about the camp in the barrens by the entrane to mulgore? that gets burned down by humans.

Camp Turajo? That's been under attack for YEARS! Silly Alliance... Always killing the flight master. *sighs*

I honestly don't know if that would fall under the same category as Auberdine does. I mean, it was a camp with a few people in it (sadly, they probably die... Or they were smart and ran for their lives) and I don't know if there's really anything there to remember. Now I don't know the lore behind Camp Turajo and Aburdine but it seems to me that Auberdine would be remembered because it was a town and it was the one city (Unless there are others but again, I don't know) that connected Teldrassil to the outside world. Samething for the Draenei; Auberdine was how they got off their island and into the majority of Azeroth.

If anyone else has a better reply or thought about this or even a correction, I'd like to hear it.

you mean the xroads for alliance attacks. Camp Taurajo was there to protect people from quilboars( and thus protect the hole of mulgore) and so it will be missed as it was raised so some humans can make a camp nearby. I would put it up there with Auberdine.

Nah, both are in pretty bad shape in-game when it comes to Alliacne attacks.

I see. So then yea, I guess it would be up there since it was used to ward off the quilboar. ^-^ Thank ye very much for clearifing that for me.

Yes, I would say be glad there is no Horde exact equivalent of the Wintersaber trainer. I would much rather do 20 dailies than this horrible, interminable grind. And now, since I won't be playing Teigan for a while, certainly not before Cata, if they removed that, I'll never even get the mount. I'm at, I think 3500/21000. The Wintersaber trainer is an evil, evil elf.

Sprite Darter used to be an Alliance only pet and the storm that brewed for awhile on that one. Until of course, Blizzard put it as a drop in Feralas. Only took me 45 minutes to get one. XD

Anyways, I assume they'll put in a Horde equivalent or else they'll get another storm.

Ugh I think the winter saber guy is an old god really.

I know... I think that's how long it took me. I was expecting an extremely long farm (Helloooooo, Azure Whelping) for the Sprit Darter.

Well..dang..if the Winterspring faction might be gone forever...now I feel a need to get the mount..

I mean I've always thought it an attractive kitty mount, I love the colors but never felt a need to hurry to do the grind. But..if it might be gone..oh noes that's different! GAH!

Why would the faction be gone? I don't think Winterspring is even getting touched.

The flooding of Thousand Needles? And for a pet, maybe a centaur gruntling orphan that runs around chucking toy nerf spears at people that gives a vanity buff called "you've recently been nerfed!"?

maybe a mini-plainstrider, or even a lil kodo pet?

Why do we think that the Winterspring Mount is going to be gone? I hadn't heard that until this thread.
