Yes, Detasseling Corn. I figured that was what people would assume I meant seeing as I live in nebraska and people always seem to think the entire state is covered in the stuff. But yes, detasseling corn.

Long Island has been terrible...several days in the 90s and a few over 100. Heat index in the town where I live capped 106 one day. The rains finally came and instead of cooling things they just made it muggier. But I would rather have this than the cold.

You should come here for the summer

Lived in Las Vegas for a spell...amazingly the heat there was way easier to take than the mugginess of the east coast. And now we're planning on moving to Florida so I guess this is like spring training for me.

ugh, mine's not AWFUL AWFUL, but it's extremely hot for here :\
I thinkit's making me sick too.
I wake up every morning with a really weird bloody sort of runny nose (not blood running, but my nose is like.. scabbing up on the inside, weird and gross)
and i keep waking up with migraines cuz of the humidity, it's sickening.
I hate heat ; ;

Yeah, the weather's been havoc for my migraines as well. :/ It's hot but every other day is a thunderstorm. The barometric pressure's all over the place along with the humidity.

Saturo wrote:19 up here, which is actually fairly average. Souther Sweden however is having the heatwave. If you want to cool down, I suggest swimming in a mountain-lake. That's cool water.
And Redith, airconditioners in Scandinavia heat up, instead of cooling. It's necessary during the winter.
19 eh ? That's cool weather. I hate to endure your winters!! 19 for us is like early may temp. We got up to around 116 with the humidex.(44-46 Celsius) That was just awful.

19 is among the warmer summer temperatures, not winter.

yah but if 19 is hot for where you are then your winters must be really really cold.
