I remember seeing those alternate Skoll colourings a while back. I believe someone here posted them, I can't recall though.

I'm curious if they'll become new Spirit Beasts, or just regular mobs somewhere? If they're used at all that is.

They were definitely posted before. I remember them being posted with a ton of possible Spirit-ish Models that are in game files and could be possible upcoming spirit beasts.

If it's the thread I think you're talking about, I don't think I ever saw them in that thread.

But I do hope these become spirit beasts, I don't care if regular mobs or something. Gimme.

gimme Blizz you hear that, gimme gimme

*nods* I had wondered if the skoll skins could have been older but I just couldn't find them being shown. o_O I also think the sea turtle could have been in already from the last patch but just didn't show up in my model viewer till now. Oh well. :p

Hah, love that turtle. He's even got a little beard going on. Bowser would be an amazing name for one!

It's a Tortoise, not a Turtle! Why oh why does Blizzard insist on calling their tortoises turtles? I'd expect more from Ghostcrawler of the Marine Biology PhD! And yes, it's an awesome model, I want one.

Haha, I've often thought the same thing, though the Alligator Snapping Turtle is a freshwater turtle and seems to be the inspiration behind WoW turtles.

Yes but even that has flippers rather than feet. Clawed, heavy flippers but flippers all the same. And like turtles that has a more elongated flat body rather than the shorter, rounder body of the tortoise (and the WoW "Turtles"). But I agree the aesthetics are very clearly a design base for sure.

Ah, true true. Then again WoW turtles seem to inhabit both land and water, so they're some weird amalgamation of both I guess. XD

Snapping turtles are awesome! At least there will also finally be a proper turtle in the game, having flippers and all.

I noticed the mastiffs have better animations, even their jowls are moving! Is that new?

Jowl = Mouth flaps, right?
If so, it's great news! I assume they've fixed the "tongue trough jaw" bug too, along with the bad run.

*nods* The jowls are the floppy bits that hang from the mouth. It looked bizarre when the dog was moving or shaking its head and they would just remain completely stiff.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0C3JZ6HQrbY Just look at the mastiff behind the worgen. Those floppy lips make me want a mastiff even more. :)

All I can say on turtles is that "turtle" is easier to spell. That was probably the deciding factor. xD

Also what people need to remember is wow Tortises/turtles aren't the same as normal turtles. They only have a top shell.

It's a reverse of this; http://www.guardian.co.uk/science/2008/ ... ssil-shell actually.

Though honestly if they atleast update the models for the old world turtles, I'll be happy.

It's about time we got a new turtle(tortoise?)! All through BC and Wrath the family has been ignored. I don't think there even are any turtles in Outland or Northrend.

All the turtles above level 60. There are two, and only one is tameable.
