Even maximizing the talent for Improved Aspect of the Monkey can help with the dodge a bit.

The Vile Fumigator's Mask is a great alternative to Freezing Trap and Freezing Arrow for hunters looking to tame elite beasts, considering the "stun" effect last 10 seconds more than the channel time of Tame Beast. I was wondering if some mobs could be immune to it, so just in case I went to UBRS and tried it on The Beast, and saw in the combat log that it was in fact immune to it, so it's pretty much guarantied that King Krush won't be affected either. A shame, but since it does work very well on other beasts it is still quite valuable.

You don't select... the red X next to a name means it's already been found. NPC Scan runs automaticaly. You also want to download the NPC Scan overlay. It puts colors on your map to show the area rares spawn in. (It has a legend too). To clear your cache, go into the WoW folder on your computer and expand it. The first one (I believe) is "Cache." Just right click on it and select delete. WoW automaticaly rebuilds that folder the frist time you log in. Make sure to do this before logging into WoW each time. NPC Scan will alert you to rares no matter where they are... Wait till you're in Dal the first time with it running... within 3 minutes I got notices for all 4 spirit pets and Aotona. lol

That's not really a question... But yeah, that's what happens when you clear the cache. The pets you've seen before are refreshed and can be spotted again.

Hi all,
I'm sure I didn't see this the couple of times I perused this thread, but after successfully taming the Beast and as some folks have pointed out, if you get behind the hay stack, the Beast won't fear you, so does this mean that Fear is LoS? If so, I was trying to see if this would work on Krush. I've been trying to find him for the last 3 weeks without any lucky. Has anyone tried to tame him when he's not LoS? I had no luck finding him before BW was reduced to 10 secs. I timed it perfectly on one attempt but some folks 'helped' me by killing him while I was about 2 seconds from a successful tame.
I've tamed some pets when I've been accidentally bumped behind a tree before (Loque was the last one that this happened to me and can't remember the mob that moved me right before I started to tame). I was able to fire through the tree and successfully tame so wondering if this would work on Krush.

Interesting. Might be worth making a new thread for this. Kinda doubt it'll work, but it's worth pursuing.

I doubt it. If you're in LoS, he's in LoS. The mechanics for this function means that once the part of your character that is defined as "head" has a straight line to the "head" of your target, you're in LoS.

Had to quote it like that for how it sounds.
That's true, it just sounded like the LoS of Krush was obscured by the tree, while the hunter's was not. But then again, all that would happen I guess is that he would go around the tree, and then fear you...

Well then excuse me for my way of explaining things. At least you got what I meant... But then again...

That's what I was thinking, personally. Even if he didn't charge you.

Also for taming toughie's, there is a <Glyph of freezing trap> May be worth using that which will slow movement by 30% for 4 seconds after freezing trap breaks. Good luck...

That's a very good point; I always think of that as a PvP glyph, but if you're a lowbie trying to tame a hard hitting mob who doesn't like to stay in freeze traps very long, that glyph could help.

The problem is that if the mob is susceptible to CC, freezing will last long enough for you to finish the tame. If not, then... Well... It's useless...

Usually, yes. But there are some mobs out there that like to break out early...

Thank you! It has been added to the first post.
