shoot your pal in the butt with a arrow that has a potion attached. heals target for 100 to 150 health but with 1% chance to cause 1% bleed damage from broken glass

I can't think of a way to say that this appeals to my sensibilities without sounding totally dodgy, but yeah, it does.

YAY, made Kalliope laugh!

Wait, does this then mean that Extreme soloing won't be viable? Dang, wanted to try out H MgT one of these days.

Can do that without a tanking pet, actually.

I didn't know you could do that....
Unless you're totally pulling my leg which in that case, "That hurts!"

It's actually easier with a ferocity pet. In endgame gear, growl doesn't do squat. Your pet will only get aggro trough misdirects, so the tenacity tree is mostly useless. Ferocity has a nice self heal however, in the form of Bloodthirsty, so they can mostly stay up on their own.

Ah, well, the more you know! Thanks for the explanation, Saturo.

Saturo beat me to it!
I found it far easier to solo with my wolf/cat than with my bear.

I find gorilla's can hold aggro quite well if nothing else is around that is.

Tenacity pets have
Silverback though, which combined with
Blood of the Rhino is at least as potent as Bloodthirsty. While MgT can be cleared with almost any pet, Tenacity pets are the only real choice when soloing harder content (Molten Core), because of their higher endurance (armor & hitpoints) and increased heling taken.

MC also has massive AoE pulls, like with the corehounds, where you're going to NEED the AoE of thunderstomp. MagT, especially the second boss, calls for a ferocity pet.
It really depends on the instance you're doing.
