Man, shiny. WoW needs some fancy mounts like that. Scorpion mounts ftw.

Let's hope they add those as mounts, but that we don't have to get them like that game does.

Oh yeah if they ever do that we'd have to smack someone at Blizzard. That goldfish just got put into the game...50 REAL dollars. The highest yet. I laughed and thought yeaaaah right no one would ever... And then two rode by me. Sigh.

I would like a mana seprent mount, you know, the flying cobra dragon thingies that swarm around the nexus in Coldarra

I totally want a mechastrider available for the horde. They're my favorite mounts.

I'm hoping for some more swimming mounts in Cata. (seeing as that damn turtle continues to elude me) Maybe sharks or water dragons of some sort?

I also wish they would make the AQ40 mounts usable outside of the instance. I would sooo farm trash for those on my hunter! (I've done it on my druid- easy stuff! )

Hehe, though the turtle has so far evaded me, I have gotten the ability to find fish. How I track them I don't know... What's even weirder is that wreckage turns up as fish...

Ah well, I hope we can both get that cool turtle some day.

Sad thing is.. one day, I had auto loot turned off. Went fishing for the hell of it.. and I actually caught it Was so excited, that I started typing in gchat, and accidentally hit the LFG button, and probably the honor tab... among other things... hence, CLOSING the loot window ;_; GM's have no sympathy for these matters, either..

Aaaanyway, here's to lucky fishing! (with auto-loot turned on!)

I'm new, and found this place by searching for 'WoW Hyena mount' in google.

For that's one of the mounts I would love to see (especially for Goblins xD)

Here's the list of mounts I would love to see:

• Hyena's
• Huge hawks or Eagles (a new model, more resembling an actual hawk or eagle)
• Owls
• Condors
• Non Taxi-bats, like stated before
• Stags (normal and warstag, just an idea)
• Rhino's
• Shoveltusks (Yaks anyone?)
• Plainstrider/Tallstriders/Ostriches.

Another idea I once had and which was welcomed, was giving each class their own prestige-powers.

And to get back to the Druid-saddle... I love that idea.
But we took it a step further.

A lot of people liked the idea me and some guildies had of hunters having the option of becoming 'Animal Handlers', like were used in another game (Star Wars Galaxies), who could tame not only pets but could also tame mounts.
There were a lot of idea's for 'Lvl 80-85 prestige professions', but the hunter one caught fancy the most of all ideas.

Imagine an Archeology-like interface.
In it, give a hunter an ability to toss on a saddle and a bridle on specific animals (felines, wolves, giraffes, zhevra's, hyena's, birds of prey, wild horses, wild raptors, serpents, drakes for instance) and let him do something like the Seahorse minigame, breaking it in. Make it level like any other secondary profession, and make them able to use better tack, saddle and bridle to catch swift mounts.
Perhaps make that an interresting one for leatherworkers: make that Tack.
While level progressesing, like with Archeology, one can learn to tame new 'families', of Canines, Felines, Birds, Equines, Rhino's etc.
Slap a cooldown on this of 1-7 days to prevent abuse. Make it a BoE mount, so they can be sold as well.

Include it into the guild-achievements and vendor-items: Guild-saddles and saddle-blankets to put on any mount?

It's not hard to make, since most mounts allready have a skeleton based on existing animals in the game: Canines all share the same skeleton and animations, felines, zhevra's share that of horses, and Phoenixes use that of a bird. The Crocolisk surfboard will just have to wait, eventhough the animation is allready there.

It -would- put an end to the 'Felines are Alliance, Raptors are Horde'-taboo. Often enough my Alliance friends farm their fingers down to the bone to hope and get that raptor from Zul'Gurub. Other-wise, our Horde friends work down to their knuckles to farm the Feline. And the dropchance of 0.6% remains the same, and there's a lot of dissapointment.

Just an idea.

Also, perhaps make a leash for them being able to catch certain vanity pets, BoE, as a world-drop learnable for that extra profession.

Opinions, good folks?

I should not have seen this thread I will be finding possible mounts for all eternity.







And those are only a few... not to mention the different color variations for the ones I posted :O

And yes, in the last picture the basilisk does look like his back is eating my character xD

Yup. Once you have a toon you can click Character->Mount a character. Fun fun fun! ^^

Gah, sadly it doesn't work with Hyena's. You get mounted -next- to it. BUT.. nothing Photoshop doesn't fix!

They need water mounts cos its just annoying being fast in the air and on land then being ridiculously slow in water
