My favorite dog? Easy...the greyhound. One of the oldest, most unchanged breeds of dog in the world, that can reach 40 mph in three strides from the starting box, yet is one of the sweetest, loveliest animals on the planet.

That being said, I also have a deep appreciation for the Doberman, the Beauceron, and the British Bull Terrier. However, I know full well that, given my lifestyle and personality, all those breeds are "too much dog" for me. So I appreciate from afar.

Favorite breeds?

Golden retrievers/labs, huskies, malamutes, and shelties.

My aunt and uncle have a VERY clever little sheltie who learns fast and is generally way too smart for a dog. It's insane.

I've owned Goldens before. They're uncanny. It's bizarre how they can be extraordinarily intelligent, or dumber than nails, and can go from being goofballs to looking so proud and serious in half a second. Love them to death.

I've always wanted a husky or a malamute. They're positively gorgeous.

Of course, I won't be owning any dog for a while. I need to get my own place first, and then make sure that place is big enough for all the large-breed dogs I love. While I'd love to get one of these gorgeous dogs as early as possible, I'd feel real cruel if I got a golden or a husky in a teeny weeny apartment without any room for them to run around and enjoy themselves.

I tend to like Asian dogs, it seems. I currently own a pekingese but I also really like shiba inu, japanese chins, and a gorgeous beast of a dog called a tibetan mastiff.

I just love dogs. I'm not a very good people person, but my dogs fill that void in my soul. Sad, I know. I have to say, due to my parents' obsession with miniature schnauzers, I don't enjoy terriers very much at all. But I do love corgis, and think I'll have one forever. And for the rest of my life, I'll rescue the dogs I own. =*)

There is no such thing as a Miniature Doberman, there is a Miniature Pinscher though, and they are in no way related to the Doberman Pinscher.

I love all of the "pit bull" breeds, American Pit Bull Terrier, American Staffordshire Terrier, Staffordshire Bull Terrier, Bull Terrier.
And other breeds I love are Doberman Pinschers (I am doing a bunch of research on them, I am hoping to get one in the future.)

How the heck did I forget Beaucerons!? lol I love them, gorgeous dogs but not for beginners.

Dobermans, Collies, retrievers, malamutes, Kelpie and wolf/wolf-like breeds.
But I really like muts, especially doby cross's, I love the black with tan underside, and prefer a medium length hair, and sized dog.

Though the pet that I really want...isn't quite a dog, but close. It's a Fennec, they cost ~$1200+ american. When I have enough money to get one, I will definitely be getting one.
