If you really love/want a certain pet, any time spent is worth it

Good point is: don't spend time on a rare just because it's rare and nobody else has it, you never know how much time will pass before every hunter will have one. Only get it if you like it.

i love the pet i do and ill keep searching for him even after cata comes out(hopefully wont be that long but who knows) but its just i have a hard time concentrationg on one thing in real life, so i try to find little things to do while looking, and ill look at that bejeweled thing =)

I fell in love with this Spirt beast as soon as I saw him when I was lvl 56, so I lvled up to 76 as quick as I could, I then went over to Sholazar basin and started the (what I thought) long grind of a search, by land I might add cos I didnt have the flying skill, and then a few days later, at 18.30pm I found him by the nesingwary camp, my heart nearly stopped, frost trap etc then BAM he was mine!!! My happiest moment on WoW, so yes, defently worth it

Your best bet is to do randomn fly bys at the other points as well. Also a good idea is to let people know in Shola that you are looking for loque.. bribery will get you far and maybe even a pet! Alot of people are nice and will let you know when your rare spawn. I actually made alot of friends with hunters. You can help other hunters who are looking for KK and in turn they will watch out for Loque for you.
I made a hunter friend who did that for me and hes the one who ended up telling me that KK was up! That was the time I finally tamed my KK.
So for sure let people know your looking for him, and offer something of an incentive to not kill him.

ok, thanks sasrei,.. would you suggest camping one certain area and doing one or 2 full zone runs(through all of the spawn points) per hour , and if so , would the 2 places to the south east be the best? ((Great friend of mine --Taluwen,.. ~love ya hon! ty for helping me a lot btw! ~ said that loque spawns the most there, but im just wondering where you guys have seen him spawn the most. i have had my npcscan macro go off a few times there in the past, but sadly loque would have JUST been tamed when it went off >> and a few other people said that they never saw loque there and some would say different places he would spawn the most, and i know where he spawns in random, but where did you guys see him spawn the most?))

Well as I've told you, and also going by what others told me(also my own experience three times) and what this chart says, he spawns a lot near the Gorillas, both north and south. I've seen him myself three times in that area and on wowhead, thats where he most commonly it dotted at.

Found King Krush today. tried taming him for fun, the fear sucks, and i died because i had like 3K hp left when he feared me a second time x.x then when i got back another hunter started killing him. oh well = /

yeah, so after a month of searching i find king krush early in the morning =P also met a hunter who hunts all of the rares on his free time, he kills them all except loque which he wants as a pet. oh well, i mean to be honest if i see loques corpe there i will be happy in a way, knowing that soon enough he will respawn and then i will be able to make a time chart to see when he spawns and all of that.

Absolutely worth it. I spent three weeks on the hunt, camping sholazar and only leaving for raids.

When I saw Loque's model on mmo-champ, upcoming in the latest patch, I swore on everything I owned in-game and out that I would have that cat. I didn't care if it was rare, I didn't care what spec I had to be, I didn't care how much time it would take- I was all over Loque like a duck on a june bug.

However, my Loque hunt was put off because I was about four levels too low for him. I power-leveled like mad the next two days, blindly going through quests without reading them, doing Nexus runs til my eyes bled- and then the moment came. Ding 76! I didn't have flying (and no L80 character to go looking for my Huntress) so I rode into Shalozar Basin for the first time on my orange raptor, alert and prepared to pull an all-nighter.

Low and behold, Loque was waiting for me by the eagles (having a polite chat with the Goretalon Matriarch). Shaking, I set down an Ice trap and backed up, and began taming. Loque flew over the trap and beat the crap out of me. At the last second of the tame, I died. Brokenhearted and anxious, I ran back to my corpse to try to tame him again, but when I rezzed, he was gone! I just knew someone had come along and killed him while I was dead. Dreading to do it, I tried "Call Pet"- and there he appeared, in all his shiny glory!

I renamed him "Precious", an extremely apt name, and he has been more precious to me than anything else in the game- and I've been playing since WoW's original beta. :3

Don't kill yourself over getting Loque- but yes, he is worth the time and energy. Remember to lay the Freezing trap on your feet!

Least you didn't get beat up by a gorilla and had to feign death while Loque walked over your 'corpse' all teasing like while you waited for a DK with non-epic flying on the other side of Sholazar to come kill the gorilla...xD

hahaha! i remember you telling me about that taluwen. atleast you finally got loque. i hope she shows for me soon enough ^^
