Do any of you have any idea if unused cut gems in your bags are going to become auto-soulbound upon the gem-stat change? Or will they still be good to sell so long as they are not in your gear?

Perhaps, but I suspect we won't see 264 gear replaced in the first zone by greens. When we see more of the quest rewards, then we'll have a better idea.

But I'll be ready to drop at least 20 or so Agi gems in the AH on patch day. With the cooldowns coming off of transmutes, I should be able to make a lot quickly.

Actually, you will.

I had mostly 264 gear and some 277 pieces once I started leveling in Cata, and halfway to 82 I have replaced something like four or five pieces of my gear. Its like a complete bloody reset >.>

Greens are i-level 272 and blue/epic quest rewards from Mount Hyjal is basicly 288.
