Where does one purchase the flying speed? Just the guy in Hellfire work?

Any riding trainer will teach you. Like I said, go to one you're exalted with. The one in Dalaran is Kirin Tor, each home city has one, and the one in Hellfire Peninsula is Honor Hold.

It doesn't have to be a flying trainer, but it seems I was misinformed. I just double checked wowhead and the Exodar and Gnomeregan riding trainers will only teach you the lowest levels (no flying), but the stormwind one will teach you all of them including the Flightmaster's License. I'm lazy or I'd check the rest.

Technically, if you're paying 4k for 310% speed, then you'd also be spending 4k on 280%.

I posted this on another thread, but as of a soon hotfix those with Violet drakes even after 4.0.1 will still get the 310% for free. This is a permanent change. So don't go off and buy if your close to your meta What a Long Strange Trip It's Been! I'm glad I decided to not jump the gun on buying the flying, blizz is always changing their policy.

I had no problems with the 310% flying but then again I had it just before the new patch. The only thing that changed was that all of my flying my mounts fly at the same speed now.(310%)

Yes. Her point was that if you're buying the 310% from a flight master whose faction you're exalted with (so that you're paying 4000g instead of 5000g) then you'd probably be buying 280% with the same discount, making the total 8000g instead of 9000g.

It's still a mouthful.

TY Sara! And yes, that's exactly what I meant. 8k total vs. 9k total is a big deal.

Ahhh. Ok. Reading it now, well, It doesn't make any more sense than last night without your explanations, but I see what you guys mean, and If I were to ever get on the interwebz at a decent daylight hour, I'm sure I would have understood.
