If i use the macro when pet got feared without bw i dont get the haste buf.
Bw still removes the fear from pets.I have testing it on uvuros.
When uvuros feared my pet and i used the macro without bw i didnt get the haste buff but when i used macro with bw i had the haste buff.

Hmm, I thought I edited my post this morning. I have the flu so excuse my forgetfulness.

It should say, "You have to use the macro after the fear has worn off."

So basically send in the pet, let the pet get feared... then as soon as fear is gone pop the macro.

Just tamed him last night and it was very easy. He walked right through my trap like it wasn't there but I tried anyway. Tamed him fast without a single fear and practically no damage taken. I had dismissed my pet long before I got to the spawn point SE of Nesingwary's. It was the first time I'd ever even seen him alive. It wasn't any harder than taming Pitch which I had done a few hours before.

Literally just tamed him after doing my HH run for the day. Nearly had a heart attack when he killed me the first time on the run back. Luckily my gf is a paladin with engineering, so she wormhole'd out and HoJ'd him for me and the 2nd tame went off without a hitch. Now to play the naming game. I do have to say that taming is highly addictive, its almost drug like for me and I have no idea why. I just got this hunter to 80 after a full year of her sitting at 60 and getting some of these rares is quite the rush.

I am just trying to find a spawn time for him, and where he is most likely to pop up. I have read that all the rares cannnot be on at the same time and have read they can, kind of frustrating really. THough today I grabbed the spirit leapord while looking for Krush. Last Devilsau I need to complete my set.

We've come to strongly believe that there is a cap on the number of Northrend rares that can be up at one time. There was a very excellent page posted somewhere regarding the TLPD and spawn research. A few guildies on Nesingwary have also done a significant amount of searching and testing....there seem to be only something like 5 rares up in Northrend at a time. Once you kill one, if there was another that was 'on cooldown' from its spawn timer then it might spawn next. When one of our members was hunting King Krush we literally scoured the continent killing rares in hopes to spur him into spawning. Note that a rare won't spawn unless the proper amount of time has passed between its last death/tame. The respawn timer is still applicable, the generally accepted range seems to be between 6-12 hours. (though longer has been said of Arcturis)

Anyways, it's mostly speculation, but there's a lot of proof to back that sort of theory up too. :)

 Considering that I wasted an entire 48 hours before seeing him spawn, yes, Arcturis has a long spawn timer.

What would be nice is if I knew of KK's exact spawn points and not just his paths.

As soon as the servers come back up I start day 7 of looking for him.

Offering 400 Saronite ores have got me several people to look for him when they are around, but it also has gotten me responses from jerks who say it isn't worth it just for the ores. They shut up pretty quick after I tell them I won't debate it... and if they don't basically want free ores then kill KK and get his drops that are worth maybe 25g-50g total.

I also tell them I am not going to compete with people who are killing him for the achievement... even though e-peen points don't equal a pet that I will actually use, IMO. I understand if they want the kill, but I am not going to argue over it.

Gratz :D

If anyone else is reading this in order to tame him, here's what I did. I've tamed him a few weeks after WotLK hit with naxx gear.

1. Eat stam + haste food. Repeat every hour while searching.
2. Tame a trash pet.
3. Find King Krush (fun bit :D ).
4. Use a stam consumables + health potion (to fill gap between current and extended health) macro.
5. Send pet to attack King Krush.
6. Use a BW + abandon pet + tame macro. Make sure the abandon pet command is the one where it doesn't prompt you to abandon. I don't remember what it is but it's googleable.
7. Fly to Dalaran.
8. /flex :D

Hope this helps.

You did it when it was hard. It is no longer that hard now... the hardest part is finding him.

BW no longer gives you fear immunity.
Tame Beast is now a 10sec (down from 20sec) cast time at default.
Tame Beast can be taken down to about a 6sec cast just by having a corehound trash pet and a Potion of Speed... and even faster if you have haste gear.
You don't really need Tame Beast to be any quicker than 10sec... if you get feared just spam TB when you stop running.
Tame Beast no longer drops your armor to zero.
Make sure to get the claim before you start taming... I am not sure if TB will claim him (grey him out for others) or not.

/script PetAbandon() is the macro for instant "get out of here pet so I can tame KK".

When I ran into my 2nd King Krush and decided to give him a new home, I sent my original Krush in and dismissed him after he was feared and began taming with no troubles.

wait so you abandoned a King Krush in order to tame him again? I personally would have looked for another hunter to help them get the fabled beast..
