Just tried this and got the error 'Your pet can't be renamed'.

You may need to try a few times. I had to summon and desummon my pet twice before it worked.

My best friend renamed hers "George". Another chose "Aquaman". I really hope they allow people to keep the names.

I got it to work! Just dismissed my elemental and tried again. Name him Howard.

BUT BE WARNED:

I was showing the mages in my guild this and I copy and pasted the example above and hit enter to type it into guild chat... I ended up naming my new Ravager BlueberryPie. o_O Sigh. So make sure if you copy and paste it to others you go back and put a few spaces before the / lol.

Woops, oh LOL! Poor ravager, I hope that at least he's blue or purple to suit the name

He is actually haha, but I wanted a badass name for him xD It will work for now until I find something cooler

Yay! Happy to see more people found the thread and were able to name their elementals
Now we'll just have to keep our fingers crossed and hope Blizz lets us keep the names...

I picked up dual-spec to play around with Frost a bit. Since my mage is trying to maintain a sort of Scarlet Pimpernel facade, he named his water elemental Puddles. He figures that sort of a name is both accurate and should help with making sure nobody takes him too seriously.

Yeah. It's also the major component of acid rain.

I asked around at school, and the only ones that didn't fall for it and sign the paper was the chemistry teacher and the social studies one. 0.o

I named mine Pisara, meaning Droplet in Finnish.
