Started as Horde, (Orc Huntress, got her to 64) but when some rl friends invited me to join them on another server I figured wth, it'll be more sociable for me that way.

Rolled a dranei huntress and started over, havent really looked back since. I did reroll that Orc as a DK, and I check in from time to time.

I often hear folks saying alliance is more prone to childish behaviour but I'm glad to say my guild doesnt roll that way :)

Then again, on Karazhan the Horde/Allie ratio is so screwed up that most of the griefers switch to Horde so they have an easier time pestering people (it's not a victory if they can't at least triple-team you it seems, one on one they damn near allways run for the hills)

The downside is we have a harder time getting stuff done but on the upside the allies that stick with it allways try to help each other out and are generally a bit more friendly and mature. And I gotta admit I kinda like being part of the underdogs. So here goes:

FOR THE ALLIANCE!

I tend to favor the Horde. From what I've seen, people are more mature on that side (though not always; I've had my facepalm moments with my own faction).

Most of the characters I play are Horde (specifically Blood Elves), and 2 of my 3 80's are Horde. I only have 2 Alliance characters I visit with any regularity--my NE Hunter Silinrul (also 80,) and a draenei mage. Sil was originally intentionally made just to SEE the Alli side, just because I'd been playing Horde so much :)

But yeah. FOR THE HORDE all the way :D

I was always Horde and always will be Horde. I played Horde, i never had alliance character over lvl10 or 11, and all of my 80's are Horde.

You know, it's funny how people say that Horde side tends to be more mature... In my battle group (Stormstrike), I've had the opposite experience. Yeah, I've run into asshats when I run dungeons and heroics alliance side, but it's nothing compared to the runs I've had on my tauren... I mean rude, obnoxious, idiotic lowlives that get off on the fact that they're (at best) wasting four other people's time or (at worst) getting to spew their ridiculous nonsense to an audience. Truthfully, that's why she hasn't gotten much playtime of late.

Anyway! My point is that idiots exist on both sides and all these myths and stories about alliance being played all by preteens with no life and horde being more mature players are just myths and stories.

I like both sides in terms of lore, I think both sides have some interesting zones (though they really need to fix the Durotar/Barrens area - yay for Cataclysm!!!), and I'm really glad that my own attitude towards the game doesn't boil down to faction pride/hatred. It would suck if my race choices were limited to the five on the "right" side. In my opinion, of course.

I play both but I voted Alliance because that where I've done all of my endgame things and where I do the most PvP. It's pure bunk the Horde players are more mature. I see very little if any difference between the factions in that regard.

On my server, Alliance outnumbers Horde by 59% to 41% according to the last recorded data. It used to be a much larger difference. At one time, Alliance had a 3 to 1 advantage.

I voted for the Alliance, since that is what I play for the most part.

The only horde above level 20 is my Hunter. Which I'm not sure that counts considering that I race transferred her to an Orc after getting tired of her big floppy Nelf Ears.

I just prefer the Alliance Character models over the Horde's. I'm a massive Draenei mark too, so that could be why I like them so much.

I play both, more or less equally. I tend to like the -- hmm .. lore feel? storytelling? characters? I'm not sure how to describe it -- on the Horde side better.

But the real reason I prefer Horde at the moment is because I don't much like the Alliance (hunter) races. I hate the bouncing animation on female night elves. Female dwarves are cute but I don't identify with them ... and male dwarves are tedious in the extreme. Draenei are my favorite, but if every new Alliance character you roll is a draenei (and remember that I am constantly making new hunters) then they get a bit boring.

So I do roll night elves and dwarves, I just don't like them quite as much.

When I first started playing it was nothing but Alliance toons, but now it just feels weird to get on them. My horde characters fell like a second skin while my Alli's that I've been playing longer just feel vapid. Horde just has more personality in my eyes. So I guess the only thing i can say now is...

Lok'tar ogar!

Is is me or did they name your crossbow off the guy from smallville ?

And I didn't know there was male cheerleaders still ? Unless your female. I just make it a point mostly to auto assume each player is a guy as you can't tell anymore.
Who says guys can't be cheerleaders? XD But yes I am a girl. :|

Ah, well. I'm definitely an Ally myself. My first char, and my hunter, Firewing, is a night elf. (Though my main is night elf druid. I loves her; she's my comedy relief because my hunter is so darn serious!) However, I did want to see pre-Cata horde content, so I -do- have a BE out of boredom. She's okay, I'd suppose. Farthest I've ever dragged a hordie, anyway.

And I -have- noticed Ally hunters are outnumbered by quite a bit. So I'll...just...uhm...use my BE as a shield should the horde hunters ever take over. O.o

I have an alliance druid just to see WoW from alli side.. But If I had to choose one or the other it wouldn't even be a contest.
Horde hands down. ;D

My first toon was a tauren shaman.. then my ex started playing and instantly rolled a nelf druid. He then proceeded to beg me over to alliance before I even hit level 25. So his nagging got on my nerves and my nelf hunter was born. As many good memories I have on alliance (it being my first hunter and first to 60), I still loved and had missed horde. So when BC hit I rolled my Belf hunter (then later race changed to orc) and the rest is history. :D
