I'm curious, how much health/armor do you have?

Health is 29,794. My armor is 11,542

Strange; you shouldn't have to much trouble then- stock up on bandages, health pots and high energy food[aka a few bites and you're at full health], remember Krush requires a survival kit of a stack of heavy frostweave bandages and I do mean heavy- his teeth and claws can rend flesh don'tcha know. A health pot can quickly get you topped off too. Food buff is preffered and you can even make your own right now, during the pilgrim event too.

As I said the basic geist is, guest? giest? gest? HOW IS IT SPELLED. Anyways, the basic IDEA is, pull Krush, as he gets to you, pop the speed pot + detterence, let him fear you, pop PVP trinket- hit tame beast, profit. you should get him in one go.

Didn't think of the Deterrence. I will to try that if/when I find him again.. I've been checking his spawn zone every new hours sense the servers came up and I have not see anything or heard of any sightings.

Ryai, it would be spelled gist :)

Anyways, back on topic. Do you have to end Deterrence prematurely to start taming soon enough? I'm thinking that if so, the following macro would be nice:

Code: Select all

#showtooltip
/cancelaura Deterrence
/cast Tame Beast
Or, just have a priest Fear Ward you ;)

thankyou

And no, you don't need to cancel Deterrence :) you can cast tame beast just fine, afaik. Unless it's been stealth changed. Perhaps instead it could be /use pvp trinket/use tame beast?

corehound + puppy lust = super-speedy tame

It's how I got my dragonhawk today. :)

I was just going to say this. I noticed when I used it my tame time was 6-7 seconds. When I cast the tame it starts around 12 seconds and stops at 6 seconds on my player frame with spartan Ui.(not sure where the bug is on this) If I where to get my gloves going and my potion drink I got it down to just over 6 seconds. I found my old cell phone which had a stop watch application on it.

My UI showed my taming timer WITH ancient hysteria as being LONGER than it was without it, which was odd. But that was the attempt that worked and I got my dragonhawk. :)

The more I read up on these rares the more it seems they have close to a 1x a day spawn. I've been checking sense the servers came online and nobody has seen him or any of the other rares. I'm gonna take one more look in 15 minutes then I'm parking in dal and giving up camping him for good this time. If I stumble across him I will tame him. I will also look randomly through out the day. That last lost tame really really pissed me and camping him is just fueling my frustration. So for my own mental health I have to stop camping him.

I kept telling myself that with Loque, but I happened to stumble on him this evening. I pretty much now subscribe to the school of thought that "it will happen when it's meant to happen".

I'd offer you the patented [Lucky Ryai charm] since every time I go to the basin I either see Krush [live or dead] or see Loque [SEVEN TIMES <_>]

but yeah my best advice atm; park your toon in the basin and just log in occasionally- it should also be better time to camp around what 7/8th? of December as you know about 95% of the population of your server are gonna be zerging for cata content.

I've been parking my toon in the basin and checking every hour today with no luck. I might have better luck come the expansion I don't know. Other hunters might also have the same bright idea as well though. I got very lucky with loq. I stumbled across him on my both of my hunters and for skoll I made a guess when he would spawn based on a confirmed tame time. I went to his spot close to the son of hodir and there he was. On my horde hunter I was doing the son of hodir daily quest and I would go and check a couple times to see if he was there. I eventually found him when I checked. I just wish you could predict when the rares would spawn. On my server I've seen King Krush at 3:00pm, 5:00pm and 10pm server time. His spawn times are all over the place.

Hi, i tame King Krush in the first try. Tame corehound and search king krush.
When you find it, use corehund. Go to max range of tame beast. When King use fear on the corehound, abandon pet and use tame.
King krush only hit me two time until he is mine :P and no feared.
Sorry for my english & good luck ^^

Ah, very clever, Beto. Never thought of having the throwaway pet eat the fear for you!
