From what I've read of the topic so far, the major "hot spots" are:
Tanaris
Wetlands (a very common post)
Blasted Lands
Arathi Highlands
Thousand Needles
South Barrens
Winterspring
East/West PL

I would say to read some of it yourself though, to get a better grasp of times/locations related to your realm(s). ^^

...maybe I'll go camp in the Wetlands until I fall asleep.

Haha that's where my huntress is sitting right now. Been here for a few hours now, but my hopes are high that I'll get this by tomorrow at least. /crossfingers
Hopefully you won't have to wait too long.


Edit: There's actually a couple videos on youtube (search: Stood in the Fire) showing a common location in wetlands. I figure it's right around 26,35.
Based on the videos, it looks like he flies right on over you. :O

Does anyone know if you can survive by being underwater when he flies past? Or isn't Taluwen's bathtub as safe as she thinks it is?

Hmm there's a few posts that I've seen where the person missed it because they inside a building or in/under water.
I've also seen posts where being in water doesn't matter. You'll just boil in the water instead of burn to a crisp on dry land.
So I can't say for sure. lol

So, I said I was determined to park my butt in the Wetlands until Deathwing visited. Guildies came to join, and we decided to have a nekkid dance party of ritual dragon summoning.

WE ARE EPIC. WE TOTALLY SUMMONED HIM WITH OUR AWESOMENESS!

Note X target so we can be conveniently located from the air.

Poo, my screenshot wasn't as good as I thought it was. You can kinda see Deathwing coming to BURNiNATE us, but just barely.

Ugh, WHY do I have to be in Cali and missing all this fun. >_<

I got sick of Wetlands after a combined total of 18-19 hrs over the past two days so I decided to try my luck with another 'hot spot'. Right outside of the ruins of Camp T. in South Barrens. I had been there for about 45mins when I went afk to get something to eat. I was busy in the kitchen stuffing my face full of Reeses Puffs cereal when he chose to show up. I came back to find my spirit chilling at the GY (also just outside of camp t.) and my shiny new achievement logged in gchat. I missed my chance at the screen shot but got the achievement. It was 7:50pm server time on Fizzcrank (US).
