It's not going to be an easy tame, but holy guacamole, what a cool new option!

Definitely taming this if I can get my guild to help me.

Nope, it should be okay. The swarmers are the little teeny ones that spawn and focus a person. All the hunter has to do is wait to be targeted, then tame away.

How long do they focus for?

I couldn't rightly remember, so I checked Wowhead and it looks like six seconds.

This is awesome. And it looks like this tame is another job for the Corehound if you can't get a Shaman to come with you. My tame is around 5 seconds with Bloodlust.

Just got a group together to tame this pretty kitty. I would like to first point out that this is NOT the same model as Soo-holu (the stone looking cat from the Oracle dailies) but a black hunched cat with red eyes. He's still really nice looking and a great addition to my crazy cat lady in training hunter.

The Group:
Me lvl 85 hunter
80 warrior tank
80 resto shaman
84 holy priest
82 warlock
83 mage

The Tame:
Went great! No problems at all, other than reminding my drunk warlock not to AoE! I dismissed Hercules, my ghost hydra, and proceeded to kill the 2 cats (untameable) with the boss. She spawned the Swarming Guardians, I used distracting shot, the priest fear warded me, I started taming, then remembered to use blood lust, but the tame finished with no problem. I didn't see that they moved to another target at all so haste doesn't seem to be a problem. They stayed on whoever they originally attacked until they died. Kitty was tamed and we proceeded to kill the boss. Here's a link to a picture of my newest friend! Can't get the image to load on the forum. Happy hunting all!

Just throwing this out there - I went in with a druid tank, priest healer, dk and boomkin. The boss refused to target me with the swarming guardians! Priest faded and that let them aggro me, but not for long enough (did not have shammy, mage, or corehound for haste). She finally targeted me and began her cast so I unselected her and waited for one to hit me. When struck, it auto targeted a guardian and I did a full length tame (no haste pot, no special gear, nothing). Tame got off with plenty of time left on the guardians before the remainder of them despawned.

Since this thread got necroed, I'll clarify here.

They changed the model on Cata launch. The new skin is the black panther one, just with the red eyes.

IF they hadn't changed the model, I'd be all over this, but with the model change, meh.. I'd rather get the shiney tiger with red eyes from Uldum.

oh...so its not the Gem looking cat from the Sholazar daily?....eh, nvm then =(

It's still a unique look. There's still reason if you like it. It's all a matter of taste.

Seems to have a very glossy skin, which is pretty unique for a hunter pet
