I cannot get any of these tames to work. Even had people help me with the boar one and FML! I feel like I am doing something wrong. Wish there was a vid I could see.

With each new discovery, my stable seems to be growing smaller. I'm running out of room.
Ghost hydra, slime, Oil wolf and bird, ant scorpion and now the fire pig....
One neat thing i noticed about him is that his flame turns blue in deep shadow.

It also seems to glow brighter in certain places as well.

I have found a way to easily tame it solo. It require you to stand in a specific spot so that the torch toss takes extra long to hit the boar, didn't need any haste buffs at all.

Like I showed in my picture, you want to fire a freezing trap at that specific boar. The spot where you stand should look like where I am standing, and it will be at max range for taming.
Hope this helped people who wanted to tame him by themselves, and yes it was completely blind luck that I found this spot so fast.

Threw the torch, popped zerking (troll racial), hit tame beast
When the tame was almost up(1ish seconds) I spammed the macro /script PetAbandon()
logged out and in and there he was

I have 17.63 haste and stood in your exact spot and ice trapped that exact boar, stood at max range and torched/tamed him one right after the other and it still didnt work. It tamed the boar and was dead on my screen and a boar picture for my call stable pet.
8.5 second tame forgot to mention

No problem, happy to see its working for others too. I only have 2% less haste than you so it looks like 15-17% is the range of haste you want for this tame.

I had 57% haste at times with 13 second cast timed tames!
Tame beast is 10 seconds right now in the live version. I don't understand the above phrase.
(I also just woke up so the brain is still trying to function)

If I can get one, I'm going to call him "DrPorkchop" (if there is enough room) after Hamm's alter-ego in the Toy Story movies:

Easy to do as alliance! SOLO
Go around the north side like stated to avoid the guards. Create a free 10 day free trial to make your horde guy. Open up another wow window. Do about 4 quests till you get the fire one. Then just line up your characters... click the "throw torch" alt-tab "tame-beast" and slam revive at the end. GG

Just got flaming roast piggies for me, and 3 of my kiddos, level 80, 37, and 15 respectively.
The trick that worked for us was:
Throw the torch with 7 seconds left on the tame, for the level 80 this was only 1 second after casting tame beast, for the lowbies it was wait 3 seconds, and toss.
Then when tame has 1-2 second left on cast, spam /script PetAbandon() macro.
My 11 year old got hers on her FIRST try! There has been much clapping and screaming and high-fives going around the room. Thank you for making these kids' day!
