Mm, I totally agree about having your mind change about them. xD

I always insisted that I had absolutely no interest in the Spirit Beasts until I stumbled upon Gondria one day. She was gorgeous, and then for some reason it led to a desire to tame Skoll even though I'd previously disliked him due to his model.

Now I'm a full Skoll-convert, I just love him. I don't even notice the fact that he's a NR Worg which I usually hate...his beauty makes up for that tenfold. :3

I'm a firebug myself, so the idea of a Phoenix, or just a fire-themed bird, sounds cool! I guess saying I'm a firebug sounds bad. How about...it's my element?

Blizzard needs to make this into the next spirit beast.

I personally agree that I would LOVE to see them break away from the 'blue and white' theme. Or even the 'friendly spirit' theme. So far they've all been Neutral and they've all been pretty. But spirit beasts are essentially dead creatures, yes? I think more vicious/angry spirits would be interesting too.

For example, a bone wind serpent, like the one at that temple in ZD. It could appear there and start attacking other mobs in retribution for messing with its goddess' home. It wouldn't be pretty; it would have been a tormented spirit, but a spirit nonetheless.

Or maybe one of those zombie-fied birds in Icecrown. I'm sure regular birds used to live there before Arthas and his minions moved in. It could be a spirit intent on vengeance, like a spirit of the sky furious that a pack of undead things moved in.

My point is that not all the spirit beasts have to be completely in tune with nature and friendly. Some of them could be angry, and that could translate to a more sinister, mutated look.

And Velkyn, you bring up a good point that not all spirits are happy. There are vengeful spirits, too, and it would be really cool to see one that wasn't all sparkly and bunny-loving (yes...bunny-loving). When I think of tormented spirits, I think of fire for some reason. Fire is almost the epitome of vengeance, so some sort of fiery angry bone bird would be.....epic.

Slo, an owl would be a cool spirit beat, same with the two-headed carrion birds. Or even an eagle would be good, because the eagles is (so to speak) a spiritual animal.

However, a bird that nobody would ever think of would be pretty good.
Imagine the surprise of everyone when a spirit beast of a hummingbird or a roc comes into play! or a thunderbird, which was a giant bird that was the cause of thunder and lightning.

all in all, I do believe that a spirit bird would be the next right choice for a spirit beast

I believe that we should get a falcon or hawk spirit beast, one that emits an earthly/natural aure, such as green, the way Loque does. Anyone know what I mean?
