- Raven Lord: wanted this bad boy for a long time and I did finally get it, I think I figured out that it was somewhere between 40 and 50 runs? It was quite a surprise when it dropped finally and it's still my favorite ground mount in the game, hands-down.

- Green Proto-Drake: bought eggs for months and months across two characters before it finally hatched for Rhyela. I think I skipped merrily down the hallway to tell my husband.

- Silver Covenant Hippogryph: I know hippogryphs aren't rare and don't have that ZOMG factor, but I really, really like them and this one goes beautifully with my druid.

- Violet Proto-Drake: just got this one tonight on my druid after a long year of holiday events. It's so much prettier up close than in screenshots I've seen, I love it!

As for ones I'd like to have but don't.....

- That green and purple stone drake: is that the one that Aeonaxx drops? Of course, that's my favorite coloration. If it's anything like TLPD then it's pretty much a guarantee I'll never get it.

- A raptor, any raptor: one of the main reasons I'm sad my family and friends don't want to play Horde. I have ALWAYS wanted an epic raptor mount and will most likely never get one now that the ZG mounts have been removed. But at least I have Anzu which has the same model, plus it's a bird, so I love it. Still, I'd love to have that swift orange one one of these days.....

- Blazing Hippogryph: I will most certainly never have this one, but it's nice to dream. I don't buy TCG stuff and I'm not about to blow hundreds of dollars on something virtual. But still, it's one I'll admire from afar. I've seen it only once and it is gorgeous.

- Wooly Rhino: again, I'll never have it. Don't buy TCG and won't buy it off ebay.


It's weird but I feel like I still haven't found the right land mount for my druid. She has the Silver Covenant Hippogryph and Violet Proto-Drake flying mounts, but I don't have any land mounts that I have or want that feel like they match her. Rhyela has the Raven Lord (yes, it's a druid mount, but just wouldn't seem right with Edaia) land mount. But poor Ed doesn't have a land mount to call her own.

I would love the Phoenix mount from Tempest Keep though I don't think I'll ever see it. I'd also love the Ulduar/ICC raid mounts. New mounts I'd want. The one from Stonecore, Vortex and the new raid and heroic mount look nice. I am workin on a camel also cause, well camels are awesome.

Biggest thing I'm working on thats new is the bug mount from archeology. That would be awesome for me.

Zulian Tiger. I would have loved this mount -- I love cats, and I'm Horde, but I never saw it in all the times I ran ZG. I guess I can't be too disappointed, though, since I got the Razzashi Raptor.

Blue Proto-Drake. I've run UP countless times on my 3 lvl 80 or higher toons, and only saw him drop once. I think he's the prettiest of the Proto-Drakes

Darkspear Raptor. To complete my raptor collection

Any Frostwyrm. They look really cool, but I don't do much pvp, and since my guild's so small, I could only do ICC runs as PuGs -- not the best environment to try for achieves. I wish Blizzard would make just one frostwyrm available some other way, even if it were as rare as the TLPD.

Phoenix and Dark Phoenix. Again, not likely, due to the small size of my guild. I guess I should be happy I have the mini-phoenix small pet on two toons.

Twilight Drake Lost the roll by only 3 points. (I rolled 96, the winner rolled 99). I'd love to go back and try my luck at this one again, but again, I'd have to rely on PuGs, which probably aren't going to happen anymore for WotLK raids on my server.

An Elekk for my Horde toons. Because the Alliance can *still* get every Horde racial mount except wolves and Goblin trikes, if you count the skeletal raptor as a raptor, while the Horde can only get the Swift Brewfest Ram and various, non-human-styled Horses now. Mammoths don't count.

I can't really count the loot card horses or the Zhevra (or the spectral tiger) for example in the bunch either. I'd like to see Bliz put the raptor and tiger back in the game at some point.

On topic, I can scratch the Sandstone drake from my list! \o/ Now it's just the eluding spectral kitty left. :< Don't think he'll ever join my collection, but I can dream!

Rawr omg u are so right! i forgot how awesome that one is... Im still grinding alot of mounts.. i grinded those ZG mounts for two years every reset... and man not one drop.... and now its not there

HAH! i hear you their.... I only farm mounts on my main toon;. which of course happens to be my fave toon on the game ... my hunter... she is at i think 88 mounts atm. but i wont dare try that crap on another toon... it was enough to get those mounts on one.. let alone all my maxed toons... so yea i agree.

My dream air mount is the Icebound Frostbrood Vanquisher or second up would be the Phoenix

Ground mounts would have to be either the Spectral Wolf or The Headless Horseman's Steed

yea those phoenix mounts are nice... i love the fire... and there is a spectral wolf from tol borad now.. have to grind rep with em and buy it with Tol Borad Commendations.

The archaeology silithid mount is the one I really, really want.

I would also love to have a flying beetle mount

speaking of arch. Im hoping to drop that recipe for my alchemy.. for the vial of the sands... i cant believe on my server people are charging 55k for that mount... i mean i understand the mats. but geez i only make 1k a day .... ok ok im lazy i can make more but 55k ... lol

I would love a green dragon mount. It's my favorite type of dragon and they didn't make a mount version

I'd actually like to see them veer away from dragons for an expansion. This is odd coming from me as I ADORE dragons, but even I have to admit the same creature as 'the mount' every time gets kinda old. I'd much rather see some new and varied types. ^^

I would love to see some more colorful flying mounts. Wtb Macaw/Toucan flying mount!
Or maybe avian flying mounts with different Bird-of-paradise influences?

Could even make it another Blizzard store mount where part of the proceeds would go towards an animal conservation agency. (World Wildlife Fund?)
I know most would cringe at the idea of "sparkle pony 2.0" but I would still buy it to help out the foundation. Having a pretty bird mount would be a bonus.

Nice Idea Sky, an aviarian idea is something I have always been waiting to make an appearance. There is an alliance quest in The Storm Peaks called "Pushed Too Far" where you mount a stormcrest eagle, which I always <3'ed the idea of actually having one as a mount.

And I don't mind how many mounts that blizzard have in their store, I'm quite happy to part with some cash for one knowing that some of the proceeds go to a charity if they are doing that. The idea of a scintillating parrot mount is hilarious but I would totally get one

Of the ground mounts, Anzu for sure. I also adore the Swift Purple Raptor. Both I have been lucky enough to obtain.

As for flying... Im surprised that I seem to be one of the few people who finds the Azure Drake the prettiest of them all. He's my favorite shade of blue, plus the runes, plus gold armor? I think yes. But my guild is comprised of like.. five of my best friends so... I fear he will never be mine ):
